As we finish this Worldview series, how do we take what we have learned and use it to create a positive impact on the lives of the people around us? This week, Michael provides us with five practical steps we can take to share Christ by “Building Bridges” with those who hold a different worldview.

What happens after we die? In this week's message, Joel examines the beliefs of Naturalism, Spiritualism, and Christianity regarding the afterlife and how they influence our choices in life. To Christ-followers, Jesus brings healing from brokenness, restoration to God, and the promise of eternity spent in His presence.

What is wrong with the world and how do we fix it? While popular worldviews suggest that enlightenment, education, economics, or equity could solve the world's problems, Michael reminds us that the biblical worldview provides a clear solution: through Jesus, we can be healed from brokenness and find restoration to God.

For something to be true, it must have an authority behind it. This weekend, Pastor Dre explores the question of what or who three competing worldviews see as their ultimate authority and source for determining truth.

How do we discover truth about the most important questions in life? This week Michael outlines how Naturalism and Postmodernism approach the topic of truth, how they compare to a biblical worldview, and how our worldview affects the way we respond when truth is revealed to us.

If our worldview is a map of reality, then it should be able to explain the realities we see in our own lives. This week Michael shares how three popular worldviews hold up to some realities we know to be true about humans—our desire for purpose, a hard-wired sense of right and wrong, and the sense of self that we exist as individuals and can make choices that affect our futures.

During the Christmas season we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but what we don’t always consider is that while Jesus was born to bring us gifts, he had to die to deliver them. This week Michael shares how communion is a perfect opportunity to reflect on these gifts of salvation and how it is our decision to receive and use them well.

Idolatry was easy to recognize in Corinthian culture, but we can see it today in anything that competes with our pursuit of or passion for God. This week Joel asks if there are any idols we need to flee from because any path away from God leads to death, but following Jesus and surrendering everything to him leads to the full life he promises.

What importance does the Old Testament hold for modern-day Christ followers? This week Michael shares that in the Scriptures of the Old Testament we find lessons to be learned, truths about who God is, and context for the prophecies fulfilled by Jesus.

In order to grow in our relationship with Jesus, we need to pursue our spiritual life like an athlete in training. This week Michael illustrates how our effort in this area works in tandem with God’s grace and highlights some first steps in making growth a priority.

In Corinthian culture, worship of the gods and idolatry were woven into the fabric of everyday life. This week Michael teaches that our culture today is not so different and that it is only by giving up our idols that we can fully experience the presence and power of God in our lives.

Singleness can be embraced as a gift—a calling from God as a season or the whole story. Joel reminds us all this week that how we use our time on earth matters and shares with us Paul’s heart in viewing singleness as uniquely valuable in how it allows people to pursue God with undivided devotion.

“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them” (1 Corinthians 7:17a). This week Michael teaches how we can serve God, grow spiritually, and make a difference in any and every situation of our lives.

Culture sees love as a feeling, but Christ sees love as an action and a commitment. This week Michael teaches how God’s original vision for marriage, going all the way back to Creation, can apply to us as Christ-followers today whether single, married, or divorced.

As we return to our series on 1 Corinthians this week, Michael teaches on God’s design for sex and marriage. Sex within marriage is a very good thing, but outside of marriage is dangerous because it is meant to bond one person to another for life.

This week we are kicking off a new session of Life Groups here at Rocky Peak with a special message on church community. Pastor Dre teaches that the early believers in Acts 2 “…devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship…” and that this intentional and continual commitment is model for us to follow in order do community well.
