Flags, and banners are everywhere. Stadiums. Schools. Arenas. They’re used by teams, armies, political parties, and activist groups. But what does it mean when someone says, “The Lord is my banner?”

When Jesus was killed, the mission was accomplished. But whose mission? For years, Jesus' enemies had been on a mission to rid the world of HIm. It appeared as if they had finally succeeded. It also appeared as if Jesus' mission had failed. Join us as we travel back to Good Friday.  

In looking at Jesus' last supper with His disciples, we see yet again the great grace of Jesus even as He allows His betrayer, Judas, to sit with Him at the table.

If you struggle to enjoy things that are going right because you are too busy bracing for the moment in which they will certainly go wrong, Jesus knows how you feel. On the day before He was betrayed, He walked that road.

Few things hurt worse than being betrayed by someone you care about. Someone you thought cared about you. Someone with whom you made memories and shared experiences. It feels unforgivable. But it happened to Jesus, too. And He showed us how to respond.

When Jesus flipped over tables, and made a scene, in the Temple, His followers must have wondered if they knew Him as well as they thought they did. When we read the Bible and relive that moment, maybe we think the same thing. While it is true that God is love, there are also things that God hates. The Monday before Jesus’ death helped us understand the difference.

When Jesus decided to go Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, He knew what awaited Him. He would be used and abused. Betrayed and abandoned. Arrested and beaten. Killed and buried. But He went anyway. Only by walking that difficult road would He be able to defeat sin and death. Maybe you are only one road away from experiencing joy and freedom. Are you willing to walk that same road?

There is a fine line between arrogance and confidence. Why is one so offensive to God and why is the other such an important part of belonging to Him? In this message we will dive into this question as we close out our series on Jesus’ parables.

Heaven is one of those things people hope is real. Hell is one of those things people hope is not. In this message, we will look at a time when Jesus brought some clarity to what really happens in the next life and what that means for us in this life. 

Welcome to The Bridge winter snowed-in edition! In today's message, we look at one of the teachings of Jesus, the Parable of the Sower. Jesus tells us that as the "seed" of the Gospel is spread, the type of "soil" it lands on (our hearts) will determine what we do with the life-giving good news of Jesus. What type of "soil" is your heart today...the road, rocky soil, thorny soil, or good soil?

When Jesus invited His first disciples to follow Him, they did not hesitate. But did they know what they were signing up for? At some point they came to the realization that it was about more than learning what Jesus knew. It was about doing what Jesus did. And that would come with a price. In this message, we consider the cost of following Jesus.
