Gameday Charlie joins the Sports Shop to recap the first day of action from Greensboro. He shares what he liked the most out of North Carolina and NC State's style of play last night. He also previews the action today as Duke, North Carolina, NC State, and Wake Forest will all be taking the court. Gameday feels like the tournament really begins today as far as the teams will see in play. 

Last night, the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Boston College Eagles in their first game of the ACC Tournament. Armando Bacot gave fans a scare as he left the game with an ankle injury, but would later return. Following that game, NC State took the court to face Virginia Tech and thanks to the efforts of Terquavion Smith, the Wolfpack handled the Hokies easily. 

NC State hasn't played a basketball game since Feb. 28th when they fell on the road to Duke by a final of 71-67. Tonight, they're scheduled to have their first game in the ACC Tournament against Virginia Tech who they beat on the road back on Jan. 7th by a final of 73-69. How much does the time off benefit the Wolfpack, or does it actually hurt their chances?

The 2023 men's ACC Tournament begins in Greensboro today as three games will be taken place. North Carolina and NC State will begin to play tomorrow, and Duke who was awarded the double-bye won't step onto the court until Thursday afternoon. Reese, Pam, and Graham make their predictions for the tournament, and Reese also reviews the All-ACC men's basketball awards from this past season.

The NBA is investigating an Instagram Live video that Ja Morant posted early on Sunday morning. In the video, Morant displayed what appeared to be a gun while in a nightclub. As of right now, there's no definitive timeline for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant to return to the team, coach Taylor Jenkins said Sunday before the team's loss to the LA Clippers.

This past Saturday in Chapel Hill, Jon Scheyer and his Duke Blue Devils completed the regular season sweep over the North Carolina Tar Heels with a 62-57 victory. Kyle Filipowski led the team in scoring with 22 points. While Duke fans celebrated the win, North Carolina fans are unsure of where their season goes from here.
