The Avid Indoorsmen

This was a very interesting episode where one of us did not super love this movie. But we brought back some buddies who do enjoy Garden State, Tim Foust and Chris Chatham. We had a blast getting their takes and virtually hanging out. Enjoy!

We're back with another Movie Game Night and this time we decided to have Adam Bell Bastien make his Avid Indoorsmen debut alongside the other Adams of Home Free, Adam Rupp and Adam Chance. This was a particularly funny episode because Adam Chance had a dental procedure minutes before we recorded this podcast and his mouth was still numbed up...It made us laugh a lot and it never got old...for us....

Our buddies Benny Elledge & Renegade have talked about wanting to be on for True Lies for years and we have finally done it! True Lies was a big movie for all of us and we really went in on this episode. Hope y’all have a good time like we did!

Jim Carrey June is coming to an end on a serious note as we break down Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with our good friend Neil Ghosh. It’s still as impressive now as it was when it debuted 20 years ago. It was jarring going from Dumb and Dumber to this movie, but in a great way. We hope you enjoy and try not to forget it.

The time has finally come. We’ve talked about doing an episode on Dumb and Dumber since we initially came up with the idea for this podcast and five years later we are finally doing it! Adam Chance was gracious enough to come back on and quote almost the entire film with us. Lots of laughs were had and we’ll give you a million to one odds you’ll enjoy this one. Welp, see ya later!

We continue Jim Carrey June with his first $100 million box office movie, The Mask. Another buddy of ours who grew up during Jim Carrey’s historic rise to fame was Tim Foust and he helped us break down The Mask in this episode. Check it out, it’s smokin’!

This starts off our Jim Carrey June, the film that catapulted Jim Carrey into a movie star. In 1994 he released this film, then The Mask and then Dumb and Dumber. An unbelievable year for him and we got Benny Elledge and Adam “Renegade” Wilson to come back and explain why Ace Ventura was so so so funny. Enjoy. Take care now, bye bye then.

One of our favorite baseball movies of all time is celebrating its 35th anniversary, Field of Dreams. Nate Stone is quite the baseball enthusiast and we knew that he loves this movie, so it was really fun getting to chat with him about it. Have fun listening! Play Ball!

The much anticipated sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune did not disappoint and we brought our good buddy, Reilly Zamber, back to the show to discuss Dune: Part Two. Spoiler alert…we really enjoyed this film. It’s now available to stream if you haven’t seen it already, we highly suggest you check it out. Enjoy!

We got one of our good friends, Kate Duncan, who is a Ghostbuster enthusiast to tell us all the reasons why she loves this franchise. She brought a ton of energy as well as her quick wit and a deep love for Egon. Enjoy!

The Oscars were pretty great this year and Christopher Nolan finally got Best Director and Best Picture. We decided to devote an episode to Oppenheimer which won 7 Oscars. Enjoy!

Our next mouth-watering episode is on the Jon Favreau written and directed foodie film, Chef. We invited Sami Matarante back to the pod to give us her thoughts and we had a great time with her. Bon Appétit!

Mmmmm yeahhhh we’re gonna have to give you this episode on Office Space which is turning 25 years old. Chris Chatham came in on his day off to chat about printers and TPS reports with us. We had a blast and y’all can cheer yourself up by listening to it cuz it sounds like y’all have a case of the Mondays. Enjoy!

Turns out one of our favorite recurring guests, Abe Sword, LOVES The ‘Burbs. When we saw this movie was having an anniversary we knew we had to have Abe on this episode. He is always a fun guest and did not disappoint. Enjoy!

To celebrate Valentine’s Day we picked out one of our favorite Rom-Coms that’s celebrating an anniversary, the Sandler/Barrymore classic, 50 First Dates. To talk about it with us, we brought back Rob’s much better half, Kelsey Lundquist. She’s the best. Hope you all have a good Valentine’s Day and enjoy!

The film that gave JK Simmons a much deserved Oscar and gave Miles Teller bloody hands, Whiplash, just turned 10 years old. We brought back the Home Free beatboxer, Adam Rupp, to give his thoughts and tell us the similarities/differences he had as an instrumentalist in college. Enjoy!
