The Avid Indoorsmen

The movie that gave the world the term “sharting” is turning 20 years old, the Stiller/Aniston classic rom-com, Along Came Polly. We brought back a couple of our favorite New Yorkers to break it down with us, Adam Renegade Wilson and Benny Elledge. We had a blast and hope you enjoy! Good things.

Our first movie episode of the year is one of our favorite high school football films of all time, Varsity Blues. Hard to believe it’s been 25 years since this came out, and we had to bring back our favorite Texan to chat about it, Mr. Tim Foust! Hope y’all enjoy!

And we’re back! Hope you’re all having a great start to 2024. We are feeling recharged and ready to give you more episodes. Our first episode of 2024 is a recap of our favorite films from the year prior. We’ll list off each of our Top 10 Films of 2023 as well as a few other things. Enjoy!

We brought back our buddies Brandon Miller and Timmy St. Sauver to play movie games with us. These guys are usually very good at movie trivia and we decided to team up and play against them. This is the last episode of the year and then we’ll be taking off a couple weeks to start the new year. We hope your 2023 was magical! 3:30 Starting 521:30 Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich33:30 Bend It Like Tre...

Love it or hate it, Love Actually was released 20 years ago! We actually love this Christmas Rom-Com and we were very excited to talk about it and bring back on Rob’s much better half, Kelsey Lundquist. She loves a Christmas movie and we had a bunch of fun chatting with her about it. Enjoy your Christmas and or Happy Holidays!

One of the best Westerns ever made, Tombstone, is turning 30 years old. We’ve said on many occasions that Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday is one of our favorite performances of all time. It was a blast breaking this film down with just the two of us. Enjoy!

We got our resident Marvel aficionado, Reilly Zamber, to talk with us about the latest film from the MCU, The Marvels. We always have a great time with Reilly, and you can help support him by checking out houndfoxmusic.com and buying some music or Christmas merchandise. Enjoy!

Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, just turned 10 years old and we brought back Timmy St. Sauver to chat about it with us. We love the Leo/Scorsese collaborations and this is one of our favorites. Enjoy!

The meteoric Michael Bay blockbuster, Armageddon, turned 25 this year. We brought back our buddies Benny Elledge and Adam Renegade Wilson back on the pod to break it down with us. They had some hilarious takes and we had a blast talking with them. Enjoy!

Role Models has always been a favorite comedy of ours and we had to chat about it with a guy who feels the same way, recurring guest Brandon Miller! He wants everyone to check out www.teamjaymeson.com and take a picture of themselves with #teamjaymeson to support his 12 year old nephew who’s battling brain cancer. Let’s support Jaymeson and check out @jaymeson_cancer_journey on Instagram.

The World Series is upon us, so we thought this would be the perfect time to chat about The Sandlot which turned 30 this year! The Sandlot was a movie that influenced our childhoods big time and we brought in one of our favorite recurring guests who loves baseball as much as Rob, Nate Stone. We had a bunch of fun and got real chatty. Enjoy!

It’s the 30th anniversary of the last day of school classic, Dazed and Confused. We brought back our good friends we’ve known since our college days, Jessie Pellowski and Kate Duncan. We had a lot of fun breaking this film down with them and hope you enjoy!

And we are back! We had a little hiatus there while Rob was in Europe and we return with the classic comedy, Twins. Arnold and Danny DeVito are almost complete opposites which makes this movie so much fun. Listen to our thoughts as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Twins!

The Stallone/Snipes classic, Demolition Man, is 30 years old. This was in the rotation a bunch during Rob’s childhood and it was fun to revisit. Just the two of us on this one but still an amazingly entertaining time. Enjoy!

School of Rock has been a favorite of ours since it came out 20 years ago, so we brought back some of our favorite recurring guests, Reilly and McKenzie Zamber aka The Hound + The Fox. Full disclosure, Kenz could only do the first third of the episode but Reilly was able to hang the whole time. We got pretty chatty on this one and it was a lot of fun. Enjoy!

The NFL season is just around the corner and nerdy football fans all over the world are drafting their fantasy teams as we speak. We figured we’d grab a few of our fantasy football brethren to come and play some games with us before the season starts. Enjoy hearing from Nick Post, Brandon Miller, Theron Steineck and Braden Sorenson!

If you have followed us even for a little while you would know our love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Our logo even has a turtle mask in there. When we heard that the new one was coming out and saw that it had the potential to be good, we put it on the release calendar. Spoiler alert: we are fans! Listen to our takes and enjoy!

Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones gave us a couple of awesome performances 30 years ago in The Fugitive.
