It's an extra long Xtra! Maddie and Matt head out to Cleveland ConCoction for the weekend. It's Maddie's first time out at one of Matthew's favorite cons!  Note: There's about 8 minuits of audio here at the beginning that's tinny and bad. We tried the car thing again and it just didn't work. Never fear, most of the episode is in the studio!

Time to turn on the waterworks as we experience the SADDEST Studio Gibli film of them all.

It's Maddie's introduction to Ghost Rider! We talk a bit about the Fox Marvel movies, the comics, and most of all, the much maligned Nicholas Cage film!

Matthew remenisces to Maddie about the bygone era of movie hosts on TV as we discuss the horror hosts covered in the documentary American Scary.

It's the latest My Hero movie! It's a welcome return visit to the franchise after Maddie and Matt finished the anime. Superman metaphor abounds and has Bakugo finally redeemed himself in Matt's eyes?

Time to watch some old TV. Matthew introduces Maddie to this old cult classic! How does a Gen Zer react?

All that Black Butler we watched recently really reminded me of foggy moores and legendary creatures - like werewolves. Matt introduced Maddie to the film that revolutionized Werewolves in the 80's.

This week it's comfort food for Matthew. He and Maddie watch his favorite of the car theft/gearhead films from the early 2000's and discuss it's history, it's cast and what it's like to be a tourist in someone else's fandom.

It's Maddies pick this week, so she takes us on an emotional rollercoaster with a bit of animated historical fiction. We're talking about Violet Evergarden this week!

We kick the new year off with the final installment of the Maze Runner trilogy. Does it stick the landing? And how does it compare to the books?

We went to see Santa Claus vs the Martians. After that, we review year one on the podcast, ups and downs!

The conclusion (for now) about conlife between the eyes of a gen Xer and a Zoomer!

I'd hoped to pull together a Christmas episode for last week, but just ran out of time. We'll be taking a break for the next two weeks, so it's time to catch up with a random discusion on con life and our observations in the fna circles. This was recorded as an early experiment for the show - sound quality may be a bit sketchy, but it's a great foundation for where Maddie and matt come from!

This is an early episode that just got lost in the chaos of trying to launch the podcast. We're headed out on the convention circuit as we talk about Cleveland Concoction and the Toledo edition of Fantasticon!

We finally hit the mystery track in the movie box of doom! It's a genre Maddie's been avoiding for a while now, but Matt has a sneaking suspicion that if she gets the right one, she just might like it. That's where Hercule Poirot comes in!

This week we talk about Five nights at Freddys! But not the game....not even the movie... We're talking about THE MUSICAL! A Youtube produced full length feature and then some! Matt is a casual who only played the first game but Maddie is a fanatic, and this is JUST the thing for her! Now if only Sparky the cat would get out of the way....

Who would have thought Maddie would have so much to say about a Batman movie? Theater kid thoughts abound as we wrap up our discussion of the third Batman movie.

Is Batman Forever the worst Batman movie? Or are the Schumacher entries unfarly maligned? Maddie and Matthew examine over the top villians, new casting and how this film relates to the previous two Burton films.

Now that Maddie is grown, it's been a while since Matt had to look into the dead eyes of a CGI cartoon, but there just might be more to Zootopia than meets the eye!

One more time, back into George Romero's zombie apocalypse. What happens when we visit the world which dawned the dead but now it's twenty years later? Not just a night, not just a day.... now it's the LAND of the Dead. We discuss how the zombies have changed, and how this world compares to other familiar zombie landscapes such as the Walking Dead.

It's part three of the original Romero trilogy! We find ourselves on more familiar ground as the darkest day humanity has ever known begins. Maddie and Matthew watch DAY of the DEAD!

We return to the Night! Argo City kicks off with a discussion of wether Ben or Cooper are right about how to defend the house against the zombie onslaught. Time to dive further into George Romero's debut.

We go back to where it all began. George Romero's night of the Living Dead. Maddie saw it when she was a kid, but it's been long enough that it's just a fuzzy memory. Time to experiance the genesis of Zombie movies as an adult...and discuss where it all came from.
