Perhaps one of the biggest differences between those who are followers of Jesus, and those who are fans, is that followers have always been known for their obedience to Jesus’ teachings and their pursuit of godly wisdom.

GOD is inspiring us to accomplish things for His glory. And this is all possible because our belief or our faith or our trust in Him. Therefore, our the more we come to believe and trust in Him, the more we will be inspired to accomplish for GOD’S agenda.

GOD can use anyone. And when GOD sees that a person needs an attitude adjustment for greater use, He will see to it that they are broken down and reshaped like a clay in His hands.

Even though there’s plenty of evidence to prove that Jesus really did live, die, and rise again, faith is still required if we’re going to believe the entire story of Jesus.

Simply put, GOD can reach anyone. But when GOD does reach someone, what is it that makes them stick or stay at a church?

Truly there is no stain on our souls that GOD can’t remove. All we must do is trust that Christ alone can cleanse us. And once we grasp that, GOD will help us to see how we can used by Him to love others.

When God calls us to something specific, it often comes with great risk. But the greater the risk, the greater the reward.

As followers, we’re told that heaven is our true home, and that it has always been a place of rest for GOD. But the idea of rest that we normally think of, where our body has a chance to recover from work, is not what the rest of heaven is all about. GOD’S rest is more about replenishing our soul by providing it with unhindered access to Himself, rather than replenishing our muscles.

Yes, GOD’S Spirit is always present to guide us, but that doesn’t mean GOD does all the work while we relax. No! He holds us by the hand so that we can walk on the right path, but we must walk indeed, regardless of how tired we might be.

Obedience to GOD’S commands is evidence of faith in GOD, as is a lack of worrying. However, perfect obedience to those commands, or never having any worries isn’t what saves us. Only GOD can save us, and our confessions of that is how our faith is best demonstrated.

Sadly, while GOD is often perceived as being angry, quick to punish, and generally unforgiving, it’s actually those who profess to be followers of GOD that are merciless and unforgiving. And this in turn causes many to believe that GOD is not as good as He says...

What does the Bible say about being a man, a husband, and a father? It says that God wants us to lead our families as He leads us, with compassion, patience, and discipline. Which means, God wants us to be men who are caretakers of the domain we were blessed with, men who take care of our wives and teach our children, and not be jack wagons who think they’re supposed dominate their own household.

A lot of women struggle to live up to the “Proverbs 31” portrayal of a woman. But this was just an attempt to depict how awesome a woman can be when she is a "tryer.”Or in other words, a woman who doesn’t give up when she’s knocked down, and doesn’t let others stay down either.

When it comes to the church family, or the families we grow up in, there are some specific things we can do as children or youth that will honor GOD, and others in the family, like our siblings and parents. But the number one thing we’re all going to have to overcome to be honoring, is entitlement.

Ideally, GOD wants us to both teach and learn what agape, eros, and phileo love looks like in the home, so we can apply these loves within the church. When this happens, everything is awesome. When it doesn’t, everything get’s destroyed. So how can we learn these loves and apply them in our home and church when we didn’t learn them growing up? The answer is by going to our Father who can teach us.

In order to make the church the kind of family that GOD wants, we must first realize how important the church family is to GOD , and that the primary purpose of every person/church is to glorify GOD . And the best ways to personally glorify GOD to others is by living so they can see we care about the family of GOD , or are focused on heaven instead of this world, and that we don’t let sin dominate...

Whether it’s a real wedding or a spiritual metaphor, to be a good bridesmaid means being thoughtful enough to make sure that the bride is taken care of and ready. Are you a good bridesmaid to the church/bride, or are you the kind of bridesmaid that only cares about herself?

Jesus stated that He is the light of the world, and then said that we’re the light of the world. However, how much light we give off is entirely up to us. Meaning, we choose whether or not we’re going to be flooded with light or not... Are you flooded with light or are you allowing darkness in? Where and how can you let your light shine?

Even though we don’t deserve GOD’S mercy, He has poured it out on us through His Spirit. That is one of the most consistent messages of Isaiah.

Our ability to reach others with the Good News by being a good witness for GOD, is entirely dependent on how loving we are. And after all, that’s the greatest commandment: to love others.

In order to be prepared to share the Good News in a world that might be hostile, we need to put on the armor of GOD. Do you know how to do that?

This weekend we're covering chapters 51-53, where the subjects of prejudice, rebellion, and salvation are being emphasized. For example, many of us pre-judge others and don't realize it. Or, many of us are rebellious and don't know it. And most people believe they're saved and going to heaven, even though Jesus said the way is narrow.
