While some teachings aim to promote purity, the only way our hearts become pure is through Christ; not through adhering to man made rules concerning diet, exercise, and discipline.

Whether caused by worrying or by deliberate acts of self sabotage, drifting from our faith was a concern of Paul’s, and it should be our concern too!

If there is one word that seems to be most synonymous with faith, it’s confidence, which isn’t a word often associated with worrying. Therefore, worrying is one of the things God wants to eliminate from our lives. But do so, He needs our help.

Unfortunately, the conduct of many shows they are truly enemies of Christ, and headed for destruction. They think only about this life here on earth, brag about shameful things, and pursue their worldly appetite. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.

The only thing followers of Jesus should ever take pride in, is in our ability to live out the teachings of Jesus, or to accurately relay them to others. 

Are you “fruit’n” it up? If not, it’s probably a soil condition. And because God loves to see fruit in our lives, He will churn our soil.

To be wise in the eyes of God, means we’re making the most of every opportunity He gives us.

The greatest statement about love (in the Bible) was made by Paul in his letter to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 13). In fact, this passage has been used in numerous weddings to depict the sentiments of both the bride and groom. However, Paul’s statements about love were the things God expected the people of the church to embrace, not just newlyweds. 

Those who have faith in Jesus have God’s powerful Spirit, the Holy Spirit, working within them. And the Spirit is capable of accomplishing more than we might ever ask or think or know. So to those frustrated with a lack of accomplishments, remember that!

Pride and prejudice are intertwined into our lives, but only those who embrace that truth will ever allow God to work on either. And the surest sign that we’re allowing God to work will be our compassion toward others.

To openly do something we know is wrong (or to sin) is not the behavior God wants from us as followers.

There is a power that is available to all of us as parts of Christ’s body, but for that power to be unleashed in us there has to be an attitude shift, and this is not natural to us, but supernaturally driven.

From the beginning, God has had a plan to adopt each of us into His family. And with that plan comes all the blessings. However, it might also include some things that are hard. Like in Paul’s case, it might mean persecution or imprisonment.

While many believe Jesus was real, or was indeed killed, some don’t believe His claim to be God, or the disciples claims that He rose from the dead. But there is overwhelming evidence that He did.
