The Path | Learning | 01.19.25 20.01.2025 28:09
Our nature gets renewed as we learn, and learning is a choice. Which means, only when we’re actively learning will we be able to combat our sinful nature, and instead become more like Christ…
The Path | Obedience | 01.12.25 14.01.2025 34:53
Pharaoh temporarily possessed a knee-knocking fear of God, and therefore was temporarily willing to obey God’s command. However, his fear didn’t translate into a deep respect for God’s love or a desire to know Him. This is similar to the Israelites, who had a deep respect for God’s love, and a deep fear of His power, so they asked Moses to be their mediator, which is a parallel to Jesus. However,...
The Path | Faith & Fear | 01.05.25 06.01.2025 27:24
When we’ve been walking the right path for a long time, the more useful we are when it comes to helping others get on the right path. And as followers, we have a mandate to help others get on the right path, or get back on the right path.
Do You Know God? | Adonai | 12.29.24 30.12.2024 23:59
How do you show respect for God? Is Jesus' name safe upon your lips? Is it sacred? A question we should all ask ourselves is, how are we showing our respect for God to Him, and for others, with how we speak and live?
Do You Know God? | Jehovah - Shalom | 12.15.24 16.12.2024 29:25
The top reason why followers appear troubled or afraid, is that they don’t really know Jesus or His commands or follow the commands they do know. And when someone doesn’t really know God, or knows they’re being rebellious, it’s hard to talk to God about all the details of life. Therefore, praying is infrequent at best. So what’s the solution? Get to know God!
Do You Know God? | El-Olam | 12.08.24 09.12.2024 32:14
Even though we’ve been given the Holy Spirit, some choose not to tap into the power available to them or live “full” of the Spirit, and the reason is choice (Galatians 5:16–17). When we choose to live for worldly things we limit the power of the everlasting God in our lives through His Holy Spirit, and that will ultimately destroy any witness or spiritual impact we’re trying to have on the lives o...
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Rohi | 12.01.24 02.12.2024 29:41
Because (Jesus) Jehovah-Rohi is with us to guide and protect us, we should show courage (Joshua 1:1–9), while recognizing our tendency to stray from the path our shepherd is walking (Isaiah 53:1–12). Are you listening to Jesus and walking His path? If you are listening to Jesus, are you courageously showing your trust in God?
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Shammah | 11.24.24 25.11.2024 31:44
Through the Holy Spirit, these prophecies about about Jehovah-Shammahare partially fulfilled. However, the ultimate fulfillment of these prophecies won’t happen until the end of all things... (Revelation 21:1–8). But here’s what’s interesting, we actually have the power to speed up the day of Christ’s return and judgment (2 Peter 3:3–14).
Do You Know God? | Jehovah Rapha | 11.17.24 18.11.2024 38:46
This Sunday we're covering the name Jehovah-Rapha, which means “the Lord who Heals you”. Nick Pelletier, an Emergency Room Nurse, to speak to everyone on Sunday about this subject. Nick has been a part of FC for many years and has traveled to Guatemala with our Missions Team multiple times, and on those trips I have seen him display both his medical and biblical knowledge in a variety of ways. Thi...
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Sabbaoth | 11.10.24 11.11.2024 24:47
We cannot box God up, like with the Ark of God, and indiscriminately wield His power. Nor should we ask Jesus to use His power to accomplish our plans. However, if we are willing to be used for His plans, God will empower us in every way necessary to get the job done.
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Jireh | 11.03.24 04.11.2024 29:07
John encouraged us to make “Big-ask-prayers” of Jehovah-Jireh, or Jesus, as we follow His “Mountain plan” (1 John 5:13–15). Unfortunately though, many misinterpret John, and end up making requests of God like they would have Santa Claus.
Do You Know God? | El Elyon | 10.28.24 28.10.2024 30:54
Is your constant attention or thoughts on God, Most High, or on His will for your life? Or is your attention and thoughts on something else? How about this, are God’s thoughts about you, precious to you? Or do you realize why He thinks about you constantly? The Father loves you and has great plans for you, but Satan will try to blind you or distract you from thinking about these truths. Which mean...
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Nissi | 10.20.24 21.10.2024 33:37
How can we figuratively fly the flag of Jesus, or figuratively hold up a really cool staff to display our allegiance to His leadership? One of the ways we’re told to do this, is by honoring those God puts in leadership (Romans 13:1–7) So a good question to ask ourselves is, do people see us flying our political flags, or do they see us acting respectfully?
Do You Know God? | Jehovah-Maccadashem & Jehovah-Tsidkenu | 10.13.24 14.10.2024 33:46
God can’t use self-righteous people for holy things. It’s not that He doesn’t want to, but when a person believes their sanctification and righteousness comes from their knowledge of a set of “rules” and their own efforts to obey them (like what the Pharisees thought and taught) they become useless to God. Are you righteous? If so, how would you explain to someone else what makes you righteous? An...
Do You Know God? | El - Roi | 10.06.24 07.10.2024 24:15
Do we as modern day Christians act selfishly in pursuit of our plan, like what Abraham and Sarah did, and in so doing, make others view us or God in a terrible way? The answer; Yes! But again, this is why we have the story of Hagar.
Do You Know God? | El-Shaddai | 09.29.24 30.09.2024 29:16
Our faith in Jesus (God Almighty) should lead all of us to trust in Him in demonstrative ways. That was one of the primary points James, the brother Jesus, made to the church.
Do You Know God? | Yahweh | 09.22.24 23.09.2024 30:12
Moses wanted everyone to know that Elohim , the masculine plural God who created all things and sustains all things, is named Yahweh , and that He eternally exists. And more than anything else, Moses wanted everyone to know that God made all things just to enjoy a relationship with those created in His image. And when you read the Bible through, it’s clear that Jesus is indeed our Elohim and Yahwe...
Are You A Partner? | Part 2 | 09.15.24 16.09.2024 26:31
Last week we focused on partnership in the church, but today we’re zooming in on what that means financially. In Paul’s letter to the Corinthian’s, he mentions Jesus’ invitation to be partners. But because most of them were Jewish converts, they understood what a “financial partnership” meant...
Are You A Partner? | Part 1 | 09.08.24 09.09.2024 21:41
Are you a partner?
Do You Know God | Elohim | 09.01.24 03.09.2024 30:49
Even though many of us have faith in God’s existence, trusting in His awesome creative power is hard when facing hard or painful situations in life. We need to have faith in Him even when things are at their worst. (John 14:1)
Prison Letters | Philemon | 08.25.24 26.08.2024 31:16
For Onesimus, coming to faith in Christ was the beginning of a long work to change his reputation, and the same should be true for many of us. God doesn’t want us to focus only on “working things out” with Him. He wants us to go first to others and pursue forgiveness and restoration with them, then come to Him to “work things out".
Prison Letters | Colosains 4.1-18 | 08.18.24 19.08.2024 27:48
The truth is, all of us should be aware of our role as Gods ambassador to others. Regardless of who we are or where we work. In fact, what our world needs most are those who consider themselves workplace missionaries. One of the most important things we can do as followers of Christ, is always be considerate of those around us who aren’t believers.
Prison Letters | Mark Cohen | 08.11.24 15.08.2024 21:20
How is God developing your patience?
Prison Letters | Steve Lewis | 08.04.24 15.08.2024 37:14
Reaction vs. Response
Prison Letters | Colossians 3:1-25 | 07.28.24 29.07.2024 32:48
We have been commanded to dwell on the realities of heaven rather than dwell on the realities of earth. However, based on what Jesus said, the thoughts of those in heaven are on their loved ones still on earth, and particularly on their repentance, which ultimately determines whether they’re going to heaven or not.
