Every person that has ever lived has the opportunity to live in two kingdoms and only two kingdoms. Because of the sin nature, we're all born into the kingdom of death and darkness. But, God has offered us a transformation into His kingdom of life and light if we'll confess, repent, and receive Jesus as our LORD and Savior.

There is absolutely NOTHING that anyone can do to earn their way into heaven. Works can have nothing to do with salvation. Now, does that mean that works have no place in the life of believer? No! Today we'll learn that works are the natural result of being saved...they don't save a person.

In spite of what you might think, you can't tithe enough, pray enough, attend church enough...or be moral enough to gain entrance into heaven. Why? Because God demands 100% perfection to gain entrance into heaven. And that is only possible through the One who lived a perfect life...Jesus Christ.

Grace is an often misunderstood word. Many people believe that it's exclusively, unmerrited favor...and it certainly is. But, grace is actually the divine influence upon the heart as reflected in the life! God's grace has not JUST been provided for salvation. Grace is also the power that enables us to obey what we once could not!

This world has quite a few different options for religious expression. You could consider every religion out there and you will only find one that has a Savior Who became a man...a human, like you and I...and that's Christianity. Our faith teaches that Jesus, the God of the Universe became a man so that He could save mankind.

All things were created by and through Jesus. This becomes more of an amazing fact when we consider the galaxy as we know it. Pastor Terry will share some astounding facts about our galaxy as well as the simply molecule that baffle scientists and simple people alike. Our God is not quantifiable.

In spite of what some of the cults believe and teach, Jesus IS GOD! Today Pastor Terry will unequivocally prove this fact from the Word of God. In fact, there's really no other way that He could be our Savior unless He was God. Why? Because it would have been impossible for Him to perfectly obey the commandments if He weren't God.

If you were with us for the last edition of Summons...you might still be a bit bummed out :-)...Pastor Terry shared with us the BAD NEWS about the utter wickedness and sinfulness of humanity. In today's message Pastor Terry shares with us the GOOD NEWS...there is a solution for the depravity of man...it's Jesus!

When someone approaches you and says, I've got some good news and bad news, which one do you want first? How do you respond? Well, today Pastor Terry will begin sharing with us the BAD NEWS first. As we just heard from Pastor Terry, sin is at the very core of what is wrong with humanity and it affects everyone!

Leaving the faith is the scariest thing of all...being without Jesus is unthinkable! And we know that those who have didn't simply wake up one morning and consciously decide to walk away...no, they made small, almost imperceptible choices that causes them to slowly drift away from their relationship with God. We need to GUARD ourselves from this!

Today Pastor begins sharing with us the introduction to this series, So Great a Salvation. We'll learn that when it comes to the miracle of being born again, it's easy to be guilty of neglect. How many times have you shared the truth of the Gospel with someone only to have them choose to ignore this most precious gift?

I tend to agree with Pastor Terry's statement a moment ago...it is SUCH a blessing to know that the Creator of the Universe has a purpose for me! He wants to use me for His glory and purpose here on earth. And Terry and I are not alone...God wants to use you too Summons listener...begin to seek Him as to the ways that you can be used.

Peace is a word that's being thrown around quite a bit these days. Everyone seems to have a plan for bringing peace to the various regions where there is conflict. But, is this the same kind of peace we're promised as Christians?...simply a lack of conflict? No! God's peace supersedes all of life's circumstances!

Today's message is entitled Enter the Fray and this message communicates the command that Jesus gave all of His followers to be about His Father's business...just like He was. And one of the key things that we need to do BEFORE and DURING our involvement is to pray...seek the LORD for His will...pray for those that lead you.

One of the simplest ways that we can communicate the joys of our Christian faith is to share the Gospel message...humanity is lost in sin, there's nothing that man can do about it, God sent His own Son Jesus to live a perfect life in our place, He then died to pay the penalty for our sins...believing in that causes one to inherit eternity with God.

Pastor Terry will continue sharing with us today the seven actions that should mark the life of a Christian. God wants us to be in motion as believer's. We can't just SAY that we believe in God and then not live like we do. And one of the actions is to identify and steer clear of strange doctrines which seemingly abound in this day and age.

Pastor Terry's exhortation is one that we should all carefully consider. When was the last time that you read a book about one of the Christians that God used in His Body in the past? Men like Jim Elliot, CS Lewis, and Charles Spurgeon were used mightily by God and their testimonies can be used by God to stir us up to good works.

In the last couple broadcasts of Summons Pastor Terry has been sharing with us a few different things that all Christians should be DOING on a regular basis. And the one that we'll learn about today is under more attack then most. God has commanded us to honor marriage. And we know that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Though it's somewhat hard to fathom...the Word of God is clear, one of the reasons that we should be hospitable to all those around us is because there is a potential for us to be ministering to angels...beings that have been sent by God for a specific purpose here on earth.

There are many actions in the Scriptures...things that God has called us to DO as believer's. Today Pastor Terry examines just a few these actions that we're called to. And one of the first things we learn is that God has called us to be hospitable. And no, you don't have to be Martha Stewart to be hospitable...simply having brothers and sisters over for a simple meal will suffice.

While all other religions on the face of the earth demand some sort of effort on the part of the believer in order to get to heaven...Christianity stands alone in that our faith declares that there is NOTHING that we can do to gain entrance into heaven. Jesus has made a new and better way for us through His work on the cross.

There is nothing that we can do to earn our salvation. We can't pray enough, give enough money , or attend church enough. There is NOTHING we can to to gain entrance into heaven. God's grace has been extended to us so that we might simply believe that Jesus is Who He said He was and that His death atones for our sins.

This walk called Christianity can be uncomfortable at times. What do you do when you see a brother and sister drifting away from Jesus and turning towards the world? Do you just pray and hope that it will all turn out? That's NOT what God wants us to do! Sometimes, God wants us to intervene and warn our brothers and sisters of the spiritual danger they might be in.

If you've been walking with God for some length of time you know that when a brother or sister just happens to come to mind, it's almost never a coincidence. The LORD is usually putting that brother sister on your heart so that you will lift them up in prayer or perhaps get in contact with them to share an encouraging word.

For those of us that are parents, we know that our task can be difficult at times and is plagued with mistakes. Sometimes we discipline the wrong child or discipline to harshly or even go a bit easy when we should be firm. God's discipline isn't like this at all. He perfectly administers His correction in our lives in order that we might be fit, holy vessels for His use.
