Did you know Christian...that it doesn't take a seminary degree to spread the good news? You don't need a fancy piece of paper to prove that you can be an affective servant in God's ministry. All you need is a humble and willing heart...one that is submitting to the Word of God. So step out faith and spread the good news.

We all sow seeds. But the question is...what KIND of seeds ARE you sowing? You see, our actions...our words...they all have an affect on those around us. And by what we do, we can either sow GOOD seed....or we can sow BAD seed. When we live our lives based upon the Word of God...the seed we spread will bear much fruit.

We've all heard stories of those who have become martyrs for the faith. They took a stand for truth...and it cost them their lives. Now these stories deter some people from pressing on in the ministry. You see, no one WANTS to die. But the question is: Are we WILLING to take that bold of a stand? Are we willing to proclaim the truth...no matter what?

Have you been persecuted or rejected because of your faith? Have you been discounted for your stand for truth? Well the Scriptures teach us that these things WILL happen...when we stand for the name of our Savior. But we're in good company! Just look at all those who have gone before us that have suffered for the truth! Our Messiah is at the top of that list.

In today's message we'll be reminded of the story of Abraham. Of how he heard and obeyed the voice of God. You see, Abraham had faith in God. He believed in His promises. But even though Abraham was a man of God...he was STILL a man. He struggled, at times, with unbelief. And when we operate out of that unbelief...problems are created.

As children of God, we've been called to serve in HIS ministry. You see, we have each been given different talents and skills to serve both within and outside of the body of Messiah. But it's OUR responsibility to take those talents and put them to use. We have to be willing to step out in faith and serve in the area God has gifted us.

God has given us everything we need to live a life for Him. In His Word He's provided a standard and way to function. Our Heavenly Father has given us ways to handle the situations of life. He's shown us how we're to handle personal issues...as well as issues within the body. So don't try to solve things based on your own understanding. Look to His Word for direction.

Are you willing to share the truth of God's Word with others? Are you ready to take a stand for His name...regardless of the outcome? We see throughout the Scriptures, time and time again, of how believers proclaimed the truth of God's Word...even in the face of persecution, ridicule and even death. But they did it knowing and believing in the promises of God.

Our Heavenly Father is mighty. And in today's readings, we'll see yet another case of how powerful He is. You see, the apostles were imprisoned for their proclamation of the truth. But God delivered them from prison! But they didn't go and hide after their deliverance. They went BACK to the temple and continued speaking the words of life.

The Scriptures are clear. We are ALL sinners. And its SIN that separates us from God. So then...what are we to do? How can we be rid of this sin that leads to death? Well, that's where Jesus comes in. God loved us enough to make a WAY for us to forgiven. He sent His Son to take our place. And now, by His shed blood, we can receive salvation.

The life of a believer in Jesus isn't always easy. At some point, we'll encounter trials and even persecution. The Scriptures are FULL of examples of people who suffered...all because of their stand for the truth. But are we willing to do the same TODAY? Christian, are YOU ready to take a stand for His Word...for His name?

The Scriptures teach us that Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. NO ONE can come to the Father, but through HIM. However, there are many people that say you can believe what you want to believe...and as long as you're a good person...you'll be fine. But that's not true! There's no WAY you can be good enough! You MUST be saved by the blood of Jesus.

We learned today that it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from...God desires to use you. You can have an elementary education...or possess a degree from the most prestigious university...either way...it's our Heavenly Father's heart to use YOU in His ministry. But are you willing to be a BOLD witness for Him?

Repentance is so much more than saying you're sorry. It's when you realize your sin, confess that sin, and TURN AWAY from it. When you repent, you're to stop doing what you're doing and turn to follow God's Word. As believers, we're not to walk according to our own fleshly desires. We're to walk in obedience to the voice of the Father.

When we think of church...what comes to mind. Many people would say the word...fellowship. But we have to remember what REAL fellowship is. It's not just socializing. True biblical fellowship can only take place when we walk in the light of God's Word together. In the book of Amos we read: Can two walk together, unless they be agreed?

While it's good to give financial aid to godly ministries, organizations and charities, have you ever considering aiding in a more TANGIBLE way? You see, if you're someone with the right resources, it's EASY to give. But what about giving of YOURSELF? Do you give of your time and talents? Are you putting your god-given gifts to good use?

In today's message, we'll learn about how a church should function. First of all, we'll be reminded that ANY and ALL churches MUST be established on the truth of God's Word. A church is to be of one mind. They should be unified by their belief in the Bible alone. And when they have the Word as their common ground...TRUE fellowship can take place.

What is the definition of TRUE biblical repentance? Well, many people today view repentance as simply saying 'I'm sorry'. And while that is PART of repentance, it's not the whole. TRUE repentance is acknowledging your sin, confessing your sin, and then turning AWAY from it. THEN you begin to walk in the ways of God.

The Scriptures are clear. ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We ALL need forgiveness. We ALL need to be born again. And that's why we ALL need Jesus. You see, God loved us so much that He made a way for our sins to be forgiven! He sent His only Son as the ultimate sacrifice. All so that we might be FREE from the bondage of sin and death.

Love. It's what binds us together as believers. Now, the love we're bound by...isn't the love of the world. It's the love of God. It's the love expressed by our Savior when He gave His life to save ours. And it's with HIS LOVE, that we are to serve...both as a body AND individually. So believer, is YOUR ministry based on the love of God?

There are many people today who chase after spiritual experiences. Sure, we CAN experience moves of the Spirit today. But when we base our relationship with the Father...or measure our growth by the spiritual experiences we have...we're not focused in the right area. Instead of seeking after EXPERIENCES...just seek after GOD, so that you could know Him MORE.

God's Word is for us...even today. You see as His followers, we've been given HIS HOLY SCRIPTURES...as a guide to life IN HIM. We don't have to guess as to what is PLEASING to our Heavenly Father. We can look in the pages of His Word and see clearly what He desires of His people. The Bible is a gift from God. Are we utilizing it?

The Word of God is pure. It is the only source of absolute truth. There's no need to add to or take away from it's contents. It is perfect...just the way that it is. But sadly today, many people look at the Scriptures as a buffet. They pick and choose what they want to apply to their lives. But that's never what God intended. We're to study and apply ALL of His Word.

Have you ever wondered why you have no power in your life? Why you have no victory over temptation and sin? Well, could it be that you've shut off the work of the Spirit in your life? Are you ignoring the voice of the Lord? Have you rejected His Word? Is there something you're unwilling to give up?

As believers, we're called to be the witnesses of God. Our lives should be lived in such a way...that others will see God's life-changing grace working in and through us. Our actions and words should reflect the character and nature of our Savior. So believer, are you being a good witness? Are you sharing the truth of God's Word with others?
