Today we learn the signs we're headed in the direction of fraud and disqualification, and how simple it is to avoid. 

Today we begin to deal with your Bible's battle against legalism in Colossians, and refresh ourselves in the freedom we have in Christ. 

For our 1st Annual Springfield Days worship service in the park, SBCne partnered with Our Redeemer Lutheran church for worship in downtown Springfield at the request of our community leaders. In consideration of our audience, we diverted from our series in Colossians, went to John's Gospel,  and we took a look at the only way to possess an untroubled heart. 

When Jesus died, the guilt of His people was erased.

Today we unpack Paul's warning to avoid captivity, and seek to understand how to apply it to our age and culture. 

Perhaps the most important thing for every seasoned Christian to hear... 

As we conclude the first chapter and begin the second, we see how the simplicity of the Gospel prevents doctrinal disasters and curbs those who seek to muddy the waters. 

As we wrap up the first chapter of Colossians, we see something amazing about the privileges we have as Christ's people. 

As we finish Paul's doxology, we consider what it means that all the fullness of God was in the person Jesus Christ.

Today we sit at Paul's feet as he expounds the reality that the same Jesus who created the world rescues sinners from the darkness. 

Today we begin our journey in Colossians with a look at what Paul has to say to a young church he's never been to. 

To celebrate the resurrection, we make our way through Biblical history and mark the faithfulness of God, crowned by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 

As we conclude our series in the book of Ruth, we see how Boaz points forward to the ultimate Redeemer. 

As we continue through the book of Ruth, we begin to see how all of this fits, and why it matters. 

While "recorded in the bathroom" isn't really what we're going for in our sermon recordings at SBCne, sometimes things just don't work like they're supposed to. Nonetheless, we managed to scrape together a recording of Sunday's sermon from Ruth 2 to share with those of you who listen from afar.
