Spoil Me

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So in the last set of chapters, Lorkin is subjected to second-hand physical torture, in that he's forced to watch while an innocent woman is tortured. In this set of chapters, we find out that they are likely putting him in a situation where he can heal her and then they can just torture her again, which is brutal. In the end, she beg...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! So in these chapters we find out who Sonea's assistant is going to be, and it turns out it's Regin which I feel is obvious in retrospect and YET! Also, there's a pretty intense scene with Lorkin being questioned and I'm not a fan of it, ladies and gentlemen. Not a fan at all. Also, Cery & Co. are breaking into the Guild to steal cloth...

Thank you very much to Michael for commissioning this episode! We're still dealing with the aftermath of the virus being released into the wild, and shit has gotten pretty bad pretty fast. Jenny, who is partially responsible for the whole fucking thing, has the unmitigated gall to act put-upon that she has to actually live through her own death, and even when she's replaced in her head by someone...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, Lillia is roped into helping Anyi and Cery and Gol although I'm sure she wouldn't call it that since she's only too glad to help. I was pleased that Gol looks like he's going to be okay, although I'm disappointed yet again by how much this author hates writing about magic. Meanwhile, Lorkin is out here standing up t...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! Y'all, I am really not kind to these books in this episode. Please brace yourselves for me being extremely harsh about the way the stories are constructed, the choices that the author chooses to make, the fact that the final two chapters of the book bring NOTHING NEW at all to the table, and how the characters all seem virtually inter...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I thought that this would be the final episode of coverage for this book, but it turns out that there were about 75 pages left and I just didn't really feel comfortable with packing all that into one episode. The next episode I'm going to do the final two chapters of this book, and the first chapter of The Traitor Queen! In these chap...

Thank you to Martin for commissioning this episode! First, I want to keep anyone listening from yelling at me by getting out ahead of my initial mistake on the show: I mistakenly thought that both Tacsis men survived, and instead I discover later that the father did indeed die and only the son, Lano, is left. Which I must say, was a delightful surprise and made me really happy. I absolutely love t...

Thank you very much to Arielle for commissioning this episode, and for commissioning the live-watch of it that I did earlier in the same evening! This episode really had its highs and lows. On the high side, I'm very VERY into this new romance that Mac has got going on with this adorable eyebrow guy who wants to save the planet and kiss puppies and pet kittens. On the low side, Veronica is a dink...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I'm so delighted that the whole thing with Naki and Lillia is taken care of this episode. I just wasn't really sure how much longer that was going to go on, and considering how irritated I was last episode, I really think it's for the best that that storyline be wrapped up. Supposedly Naki will be executed, but I have an idea that I'm...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! These chapters were a little awkward for me as I realized that what I THOUGHT the author was doing wasn't actually what was happening. I thought that Lillia would be the babe-in-the-woods naive type, and everyone else would begin to figure out that she'd been played. It...did not happen that way. Meanwhile, Lorkin is learning how to make the st...

Thank you so much to Martin for commissioning this episode! Y'all. I'm real fucking salty about these chapters. DARLA. MY SWEET WONDERFUL DARLA. I'm so sad that this awesome force of nature has been taken down, and the fact that it was Joeli who did it makes me want to break her in half myself. I really don't know what to think about how the Shipheart works, and part of me is super curious and wan...

Thank you to Agnes for commissioning this episode, and thank you to Rachel for commissioning the live watch! I'm really glad that it looks like the rape storyline is pretty much over, and I'm very interested in this new murder plot that has started up. It came as quite a surprise and there are a lot of players in the Dean's storyline that could potentially have killed him, so this should be really...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this fun episode and including Krista as a host! Those of you who listened to the episodes of coverage of Great British Bake Off that I did with Krista last year will know that while Krista herself isn't a baker, that doesn't mean she has has no opinions or appreciation of the craft! While Krista had never seen Derry Girls when we recorded this episo...

Thank you very much to Rachel for commissioning this episode! Oh lord, y'all, I just don't know what the fuck to do about this season. We've got the feminazis out here faking rapes and then in turn raping frat boys, and I am honestly baffled at whomever made the calls on how this plot was going to run. Whose idea was this? Meanwhile there's a whole thing with Veronica and Logan, and it seems like...

Thank you very much to Stacie for commissioning this episode! I FUCKING KNEW IT. I knew this bitch was bad news! Can I gloat some more? Can I turn my smugness up to 11? But seriously tho, this episode was really disturbing to watch at this point in history. I can't get over how optimistic we all are in fiction regarding how our country would handle an outbreak of a virus. This was just...man, this...

Thank you very much to Kyle for commissioning this episode! There are no more episodes of this book commissioned yet so I'm not sure what I'm in for, but this was a helluva first section. This book is apparently link to the Warhammer game, which I didn't know was even a thing but that's actually a pretty cool idea. It makes me very curious about what other books are in the series and if they all h...

Thank you to Laura for commissioning this episode! So. That was a helluva finale. I don't know what to think. I know that there's another whole season coming, and that Eve can't really actually be dead like she seems to be, but where do we go from here? Is this going to go back to Eve VS Vilanelle like in the first season, but without any sense of affection between them? What about Constantine, is...

Thank you so much to Devin for commissioning this episode! Sorry this is going up so late, but thank you again to Devin for working with me when I had to reschedule due to traveling for Owen's grandmother's funeral. This series of chapters leaves me in such suspense and I'm absolutely dying to know what happens next. When I tell you that the hair on my arms stood up during THAT scene with Nita and...

Thank you so much to Tonje for commissioning this episode! This was a hell of a ride, in that we're gearing up to something huge and you can practically hear the clickclickclick of the rollercoaster cresting the top of the hill. Niko finally leaves Eve, and honestly it's really so sketchy to me that he is staying with the woman who is in love with him. Niko, wyd. Meanwhile, Eve is coping with the...

Thank you very much to the anonymous benefactor who commissioned me and RoShawn to cover this episode! Lord, Red Dwarf is the goofiest show I've ever seen and it's so good. I love everything about it: the cheap sets, the almost non-existent effects, the over-the-top characters, and the technology with an attitude problem. And of course, it goes without saying, I love Cat. I hope so much that you e...

Thank you very much to Martin for commissioning this episode! These chapters are when we get to see what the Abbess's plan was really all about. Indeed, we get to find out that she had a plan to begin with, which I was beginning to doubt. And while this works out in its initial stages, it becomes increasingly clear that she maybe underestimated Sherzal's bloodthirstiness and her willingness to tak...

Thank you to Andrea for commissioning this episode! Yoooooo so shit has really gone left with Eve and Niko, and I have some mixed feelings about it. Overall, I feel ready for Niko to no longer be a major factor in Eve's story, and I feel like this is the best possible outcome for him because he's at least still alive. However, I'm not sure about having some random out there knowing as much as he d...

Thank you to Michael for commissioning this episode! This episode is super compelling to me because it focuses on just the sort of boring shit that will probably be the exact thing that ends the world because none of us wanna pay attention to such an unsexy risk. We get to see what happens when a major player doesn't cooperate, and what happens is that one of the team winds up taking their place w...

I'm so sorry I posted out of order! I'm planning to backdate this episode so that they show up correctly in the stream, but thank you to Raven for bringing the missing episode to my attention. This episode is the one in which Eve begins to stray a little bit more to the Dark Side. There are some discussions about what constitutes a psychopath, and she seems to display some behaviors that MAY indic...

Thank you to Michael for commissioning this episode! Alright kids, I'm not at all sure that I have a good grasp on what's happening, but I will say that this episode marks the very first time that I was cheering for Bartoz. I'm getting very annoyed with Jonas and I needed someone to call him out. Meanwhile there's the whole thing with Charlotte, which I'm super duper curious about. I think she's t...
