On this episode of Soups on Hockey I discuss New Years, the Canadian World Junior team, people I don't like, the Philadelphia Flyers, Alexis Lafreniere, my projected team Canada roster for the 2025...World Cup? And as always, talk a little Oilers, specifically why Olivier Rodrigue so obviously needs to get a look from the organization.

They can't be the 87 Oilers, they don't believe in having skill...Seriously though, impressive comeback by the Oilers after trailing 2-0, they defeat the Kings 3-2 in a shootout. 17 minute rant on the Kings over-hype followed by more rational comments on the Oilers.

This is an Oilers post-game show, but there was far too much to talk about in the hockey world tonight to only talk about the game. Chargers/Raiders (not even hockey!!!), Bill Guerin, Rob Blake, Jordan Kyrou, the Leafs comeback, Roberto Luongo, and of course...the Lightning getting as undeserved of a win as you'll ever see over the Edmonton Oilers.

Oilers beat the Blackhawks for their 8th straight win, 4-1. Talk about that obviously an add in some thoughts on what’s going on in St. Louis as the Blues fire Craig Berube.

7 straight. Unthinkable just 18 days ago, but here we are. The Oilers are back at fake .500 and very much so back in the race.
