LOL I still call them the "Best Bets". There is nothing good and or funny about this at this point. I hate this show, I'm just doing it now because I follow the 1988 Cincinnati Bengals motto of "finish everything". So I'm finishing my dignity by continuing to record this show each week.

It wasn't a very well kept secret over the last week or so, but it has now been widely reported that Corey Perry is signing with the Edmonton Oilers within the next 24 hours. My thoughts on that, plus what else the Oilers need to do ahead of the trade deadline to solidify themselves as Stanley Cup favourites.

This was old school Oilers. Came out flat, gave up 2 goals on two odd man rushes, needed their PP to come up big for them, essentially only one line was going, but they came out of it with the two points and officially move into 3rd in the Pacific division.

A lot of talk before I get into the game on a very tough day in the Edmonton sports world. The Oilers bounced back from such a horrendous effort on Tuesday with a very good effort in Detroit Thursday night. Despite some bad puck luck, they managed to get the 2 points.

The big thing I'm hitting on in this episode of the short shift is the Gauthier/Drysdale deal. So most of this is on that, but I do put a few minutes at the end towards Phil Kemp being recalled by the Oilers and why I like that.
