Brother Dave shares the message today out of Hebrews 10, he talks about the ineffectiveness of Old Testament sacrifices versus the effectiveness of Christ's sacrifice. 

We continue in Judges and the story of Samson. In this portion of scripture we see Samson being ruled by his desires.  Do you ever struggle wanting something so much that the desire rules you? This is the everyday struggle for Christians. Read, Memorize and Meditate on the Word of God. Understand your position in Christ and deny the desires of the flesh, put on Christ. 

In the story of Samson we see the Lord use an imperfect couple to help make a way for the deliverance of the people of Israel.  We are all imperfect, however we should do our best to be theologically sharp and walk in Christ in order to be able to point others to God.   

Can God use you if you're compromised or if you still need to grow and change? or repent? Jephtha is the next Judge that the Israelites ask to lead them. He is not a perfect leader. He does things that are not smart, however, the Lord uses him. We are all imperfect, yet the Lord uses us in many ways. Its our job to stay humble and meek and listen for His calling on our lives. In the absence of Pastor Kevin, David Egesdal preaches on the story of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15.  Identify your sin. Take ownership for your sin. Ask the Lord for forgiveness. Replace the lies you were believing with Truth.  Walk in righteousness with the Lord. 

The story continues. Gideon has died and now Israel has done evil in the sight of God. The children of Israel did not remember the Lord their God.  God is faithful. God always remembers us even though we don't always remember Him.   

God worked through Gideon and then Gideon struggled to maintain his personal walk with God. This serves as a warning for everyone.  We should seek to humbly honor the Lord in all we do. Do you let God impact your walk? 

Do you ever have a hard time making decisions? Find it difficult to do something that God wants you to do?  Today in Judges we meet Gideon, a timid man and learn about his interaction with a patient and present God.

Today our passage introduces us to three judges; Othniel, Ehud & Shamgar. God used each of these individuals in different ways to bring mercy to the Israelites.  Living life with Jesus needs to be intentional. The children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord. They lived among God's enemies and were not willing to obey God. Thankfully God is still compassionate even though they chose to disobey. You're responsible for your path, how are you doing with your personal walk?  Are you actively or passively engage?

We begin our series in the book of Judges today.  We can see God's great passion towards his people as they move into the land He gave them.  God wanted the children of Israel to follow Him and His law, then they would become an example to those around them.  Are you following God and His word or are you following yourself and what you think works best for you?  

This week we are looking back at how God delivered the Israelites and the leaders he appointed to lead them out of Egypt, Moses and Joshua.  The book of Judges covers the next 400 years after the death of Joshua. After covering many different scriptures on wisdom living Pastor Kevin is putting it all together today. Learn the differences between responsibilities that God has called you to and the concerns you have in life. Why its important to differentiate them and how to handle both.   

Listen to wisdom and receive its benefits. When we fear God it is the beginning of wisdom.  Fathers seek to live under the fear of God and teach it to your children.   

The message from Ecclesiastes today reminds us that wisdom provides benefits for us in our daily living. We are to live life in the world with God's purpose. Whatever is given to us to experience or endure we should be grateful and embrace what it is the Lord has given us. To help us be able to do this its important to stay in the Word, pray and keep each other accountable.   

Christ came as the High Priest and obtained eternal redemption through His blood. Through Christ's blood we are forgiven. *The sermon on this week was cut a few minutes short, so the recording does end a bit abruptly.  

We dive into the old covenant rules and requirements that the Levites had to abide by to enter the earthly sanctuary of God. By learning more about their requirements we can learn to appreciate the new covenant through Jesus and the access that each one of us has to our loving Savior.   

How hard is it for you to have a good attitude in the midst of troubles? Learn about God's shepherding grace and how He helps us in the midst of our difficulties. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,   casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.   Be sober-minded; be watchful. God always provides.  The book of Ruth is not a book about Ruth, its a book about God. And his providence, this book shows how God is always working behind the scenes. How God is in control over all aspects of our life. 

Psalm 14, verse 1 states, "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God.""  Pastor Kevin tells us today, there are 3 types of people. The fool, the wise, and the functional fool. Are you living for yourself or for God?   

Trust God's character.  Delight yourself in the Lord. Commit yourself to living a life pleasing to God.
