God grants us righteousness through faith alone.

Paul explains that sin is not something we do, it is a part of our very nature.

Paul shows us that possessing God’s truth and knowing God’s truth are not sufficient for salvation. Rather, our obedience to God’s truth written on our hearts is what God will judge – the secrets of men.

We so often find ourselves consumed with the immorality in our lives and the lives of others, but this immorality is simply a symptom of a much deeper and profound problem – we’ve exchanged the worship of God for the worship of ourselves.

The Good News is that God has accomplished all that is necessary for our rescue. The gift of eternal life is secured not by our strength or works, but by His Son Jesus Christ.

We worship God by recognizing Him as the only one who can solve our deepest need, our sin infection.

We worship God by desiring His presence above all things. Recognizing that His presence is Heaven to us.

We worship God not just with songs and words, but with our very hearts. When we take refuge in God we declare our affection for Him and this is how we may worship Him.

God’s character gives us hope in every circumstance in life. Not just a vacuous hope in the sky, but a real tangible hope that as followers of Christ we can know every day.

Depression, grief, and sorrow are real feelings that God intends for us to feel. But these feelings should not cripple us or stagnate our faith – they should drive us into the presence of God in worship!

God’s majesty is revealed in how He sovereignly acts, how He has created, and how He sustains His creation. His majesty makes Him worthy of our praise.

Jesus did not bring some general form of peace to all of humanity – He delivered peace between rebellious humanity and God. It is that peace that pours over into the lives of those who follow Him.

Jesus’ death on the cross was no mere event in history, it was the culmination of God’s plan from before the beginning. That plan was that humanity would be created and reconciled to God in a relationship of Peace.

Jesus’ endures sorrow and anguish as the God-ordained path lies before Him. Yet, He knows that it is this path that brings reconciliation between us and the Father – a peace that could be obtained no other way.

Jesus promises the Disciples and us that it is only through him and in him that we will experience true, lasting joy and peace. Jesus has reconciled us to the Father and the Holy Spirit will align our affections with Him!

Jesus loves Judas despite his betrayal and he loves Peter despite his denial. The love Jesus demonstrates is uniquely characteristic of God and His Holy Spirit produces this love in us so that the world will glorify Jesus!

Jesus ends his public ministry and begins his glorification as he triumphantly enters Jerusalem for holy week. He declares that he will now be glorified, but the crowds struggle to understand and grasp what this means and many are unwilling to give up their own pursuit of glory.

Jesus shows us what a real shepherd looks like. A Shepherd that knows his sheep by name, that loves his sheep, and that lays down his life to protect and keep his sheep eternally.

Jesus promises eternal life to those who keep His word. He can promise us eternal life because he has life in himself. He is the self-existent God, the ‘I Am.’

Jesus explains that we are all in darkness, hopeless, and lost looking for a way out. He alone is the light that leads to life

Jesus tells us that he alone can quench our thirst, but we must come to him and drink.

We are so easily distracted by the materialism of this world, we work and labor and strive for things that perish. Jesus tells us that we ought to be pursuing eternal food – we ought to be pursuing Him!

Jesus reveals the dark places of our souls and shows us why we struggle believing in Him.
