Jesus presents us with three responses to His healings, trust, indifference, or rejection

Jesus shows us who we really are and how our belief and unbelief have more to do with our affections than it has to do with a decision.

Jesus sees the distraction and dilution of worship in the temple and is zealous for something better.

As Jesus calls the disciples, we see them make a declaration about Jesus and tell others about Him.

John begins his gospel by laying out exactly who Jesus is, who he knew him to be personally

God’s Word is not confined to a location, a people, or a generation. It is living and active and speaks into our daily lives as a sufficient resource for all things that pertain to life and godliness!

The Bible is not meant to be just another instrument in our toolbox of life. God gifted us his inspired, authentic, authoritative, inerrant, and sufficient Word so that we may know Him, be made Holy, and to be equipped for the work of His Kingdom.

God intends to provide us with His inerrant truth, He reveals this to us through our imperfect language.

We have more archeological evidence that the inspired words of God that we read are the same words that the original authors wrote down.

If we believe that God desires for us to know Himself and His purpose, then we must believe that He will communicate this to us somehow. If He is all powerful, then we can expect that He will succeed in doing this.

Paul compels us to live intentionally, to be about God’s work in our lives, to use all that we have – our resources, our love, our relationships to point to Christ and proclaim his Gospel!

Jesus’ resurrection demonstrates the manifold wisdom of God and His plan for humanity. The entirety of the Christian faith rests on this singular event.

Our Gathered Worship is not primarily to feed our own souls, but to come and bring our gifts to edify the church, to build one another up and to point each other to Christ.

Our spirituality does not come by meditative practices or other-worldly ponderings – as followers of Christ we are spiritual because God has given us His Holy Spirit and given us each gifts to glorify Him

As followers of Christ we are called to a life of faithful participation with Him. We are called to pursue things that glorify Him and to reject the things of this world that draw away our affections from Him.

Paul describes how we all have rights. Rights to certain foods, to earn a wage. He wants us to understand that we must never be a stumbling block and we should lay down our rights for the advancement of the Gospel.

God shows us how to look at our marriages and our singleness in light of our eternal purpose

As we look at our local church through this Gospel lens – we ought to respond to sin differently, we ought to have the same care and concern for our brothers and sisters as Jesus has for us

It’s so easy for us to get distracted in, by, and with this world. Paul reminds us that the Gospel helps us to see our purpose – to build God’s Kingdom.

As Paul begins his letter to the Corinthian church, he begins by giving them three truths that will be the foundation of the rest of the letter: God sustains you, be united in Christ, and be about proclaiming Christ crucified

God rescues us a new way, the Son of God comes to defeat Satan, Sin, and Death finally and fully.

God reveals himself constantly to us. He continues to show the Israelites who he is. This will be a look at the Picture of God, The providence of God, The Power of God and the Patience of God.

God has a purpose and a plan for both our specific lives and for all of creation. He is patient in accomplishing this will; yet we so often live impatient lives not inquiring of God because of our arrogance.
