In Romans Chapter Six,  Paul lays out a very peculiar sounding truth:  We are all slaves and the only Question is to whom shall we be enslaved?    There are only two choices:  Sin or Righteousness.    Sin which is offered and inspired by Satan or Righteousness with is created and given to us by God.  The Endpoint  of the two are very different. 

We long to be significant,  but all too often, we feel as if our life hasn't really meant that much.  In Christ Jesus, however we are highly significant.   This sermon based on Exodus 19:2-8  shows how significant we are.

This sermon explores the two  vastly different views that people hold for Jesus as evidenced by the crowd that gathered on Palm Sunday.

John the Baptist had a lot of questions when Jesus appeared before him to be baptized; chief of which was WHY?    John's baptism was for sinners.   Jesus was not a sinner.    Jesus said,  "Let it be so now, for it is fitting to fulfill all righteousness."    This sentence is a compact explanation of Jesus entire purpose in coming.   

How did the Wisemen know what the star meant?  Why did they take a detour to Jerusalem?  These questions will be answered with the goal of also answering why we take detours off our path to knowing Christ and how to avoid them. 

King Herod flew into a murderous rage at the birth of Jesus, revealing the way the world has often responded to Christ and his church.    We might be tempted to downplay our relationship to Jesus, but that would be counter to our calling.
