This sermon describes,  in a hopeful way, the road we walk in the way of Christ.   It's based on Phil. 2:1-18,  with emphasis on Philippians 2:12.    It was delivered on a day of confirmation.  

How many times should we be willing to forgive a person who sins against us.  Peter thought it should maybe be 7 times.   But Jesus changes the whole conversation  pointing out that it's not about counting out the times,  but rather it's about coming to  the same understanding that God has for us;  showing mercy.   We are called to be merciful. 

The word of God  came to Ezekiel and  he said  "I have made you a Watchman for the House of Israel."  With that call,  God appointed the prophet to sound the alarm concerning the spiritual attacks against God's People.   Pastor's have a similar calling,  but so do all Christians.   We are called to take responsibility for the our fellow believers and we are correct to warn them concerning the sins...

In Matthew 16:13-20  Jesus asks his people a general question:  "Who do people say that I am?"   It would seem that people had different ideas about who he was but none of  them said he was God.    Jesus then turns to his disciples and asked  "Who DO YOU say that I am?"     Usually, the disciples were pretty dense about things, but not this time.  Peter actually offered a very succinct and correct...

In Romans Chapter Six,  Paul lays out a very peculiar sounding truth:  We are all slaves and the only Question is to whom shall we be enslaved?    There are only two choices:  Sin or Righteousness.    Sin which is offered and inspired by Satan or Righteousness with is created and given to us by God.  The Endpoint  of the two are very different. 

We long to be significant,  but all too often, we feel as if our life hasn't really meant that much.  In Christ Jesus, however we are highly significant.   This sermon based on Exodus 19:2-8  shows how significant we are.

This sermon explores the two  vastly different views that people hold for Jesus as evidenced by the crowd that gathered on Palm Sunday.
