Exodus 23 today, we are seeing the laws concerning society, and their responsibility to society, including attending the feasts and festivals, and what they could anticipate being the result of that.

Exodus 25 Today, we are likening lithium batteries to the building of the tabernacle. There had to be special precautions made in order for God to dwell with His people. 

Exodus 26 It's interesting to study the different details of the design of the tabernacle, for instance what the inside would have looked like in the candlelight. 

Exodus 27 We are seeing more details of the tabernacle, especially that it was designed to be mobile, to be carried by the priests. We are also taking notice of the need to keep the oil refilled for the lamps and how that is reflected in Christianity. 

Exodus 28 We are seeing the details of the high priests breastpiece and recognizing the connection between the stones and the stones represented at the throne in Revelation 4. 

Exodus 29 We are looking at the prescription for how the priests were to be consecrated, and considering what God has done for us through faith in Jesus Christ. 

Exodus 30 We are looking at the design of the various items in the tabernacle. There is one that is described as "especially holy." It's the altar of incense, and it is special indeed. 

Exodus 31 We are talking about the Sabbath. It's obvious how much importance God attaches to it here. What does it mean for us as Christians? 

Exodus 32 This is the famous golden calf chapter. We think it's ridiculous that they did this... but, we often don't consider how we sometimes do something similar. 

Exodus 33 We could go in lots of directions as the chapter is packed with interesting things. The "tent of meeting" stands out as something to consider as Christians. 

There's an obvious connection between seeing and hearing the true revelation of God and Moses's face shining. Paul says there's something similar but greater happening with us as Christians. 

Exodus 35 It's fascinating to read about how the people got involved in the providing of the materials and in building the tabernacle. It's a joy to participate in what God is doing in the world. 

Exodus 36 What do you do when the offering plate is too full? That's the problem Moses had in our reading, and funny enough, I had the same problem one time... 

Exodus 37 today, we are talking about the items that were made for the tabernacle, designed by God, built by anointed people. They needed to be practical, useful, durable but also beautiful...

Exodus 38 Moses requests an inventory of all the materials used. It's interesting to consider how important that was at that time, and how important it is for us as well. 

Exodus 39 It's interesting to consider how much detail is given to the high priest's attire, and of course, how we approach the dress of our pastors and preachers today. 

Exodus 40 It's wonderful to consider how the Lord's glory fell in the tabernacle as it was built and consecrated. We are also the temple of the living God and God's glory resides in us. 

Happy Sunday!  Today, we begin the book of Leviticus. These first few chapters are considered their "handbook for worship," helping them to know how to handle themselves in the tabernacle. 

Leviticus 2 We are learning today about the grain offering in the tabernacle, seeing some of the symbolism inherit in their prescribed worship. 

Leviticus 3 We are talking about the "fat" in the fellowship offering and looking for answers on why it's so important for the Lord. 

Leviticus 4 We are seeing the sacrifices made for unintentional sin and recognizing how expensive they are. 

Leviticus 5 We are looking at these sin and guilt offerings and recognizing the extent God is going to in removing guilt from His people. 

Leviticus 6 Today, we are meditating on the fire on the altar and how it was to never go out and what it represents to them and to us. 

Leviticus 7 2 things stand out in this passage, it's the time limit on the fellowship offering and how God had designed for the priests, the Levites and their families to be provided for in their service in the tabernacle.
