Today we take a trip to “House of Bamboo”, an interesting Sam Fuller film shot in Japan. Although there’s some wonderful use of location, especially towards the end, we weren’t as convinced by the narrative development of this noir (beautifully shot in colour and CinemaScope)

We take a look into “The Other Side of the Wind”, from our beloved Orson Welles. As expected, this is an intriguing and bitter film from the master, featuring a frenetic rhythm as well as textured and ever changing visual approach. Funnily enough, the troubled and lengthy history of its production does make the film resonate even more.
