The Sermon on the Mount includes a Bible verse that's popular with believers and unbelievers alike. "Judge not lest you be judged." While the verse is popular, what it means and how we apply it isn't so widely known. Matthew 7:1-12

In the Kingdom of Heaven, money does not equal treasure. Isn't that a reassuring or, perhaps, a convicting truth? Learn more about the kind of treasure a Kingdom citizen seeks in this week's message from Matthew 6.

Did you know God gives rewards? Living a righteous life allows you to know the good rewards of the Heavenly Father. Unfortunately, we often settle for inferior rewards because we look to the wrong source for our gifts. Jesus explained this as He continued his Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 6.

We tend to grow proud when we avoid certain sins—you know, the "big sins." In His sermon on the mount, Jesus called out the view that we only need to worry about big, visible, external sins. Instead, He traced sins from their fruit to their root to help people understand what true righteousness looks like. Learn more as we continue in Matthew 5.

Jesus has the authority to call people to repent, to follow Him, and to live as part of the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 4 helps us understand the authority Jesus holds and how to live as a result.

Temptation is common to everyone. Even Jesus was tempted. The difference? He stood strong when tempted every time. In this message we explore what Jesus did so we can stand strong in temptation and we also see an encouragement for those moments when we give in to temptation as well.

Matthew 3 features John the Baptist, repentant Jews, false repenters, and Jesus! It's an important, exciting chapter in which we're invited to be part of what God is doing through His Son, the King.

There is a right way to respond to Jesus, which Matthew unpacks in his second chapter as we consider the Jewish leaders, King Herod, and the wisemen.

"In the beginning was the Word..." So begins a theologically rich account from the Gospel of John. It's a favorite Christmas passage that carries the weight of the Majesty of God coming to rest in a lowly manger.

You know the Christmas story. You know about Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. You know the details about the star and the shepherds and the angels. But the Bible never tells us to merely know it. We're invited to believe the story of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection. So, when it comes to the Christmas story, do you just know it... or do you truly believe it?

Before Jesus was born, God had been silent for 400 years! In this message, we take a brief stop in the book of Malachi to help us grapple with God's silence and listen for the shout of our Savior.

The writer of Hebrews spent 12 chapters helping us understanding that Jesus is superior and sufficient. He ends his letter with chapter 13, calling us to live out that truth.

Hebrews 12 reminds us that there is no comfort in living based on the law. That means being a "good person" isn't actually good enough, which isn't very comforting. Jesus, however, offers great comfort. We're invited to listen to His comforting words as we lay hold of God's unshakeable kingdom through Jesus.

We'd all like to be described as somebody who has enduring faith, but how do we actually get there? The writer begins to close his letter to the Hebrews by reminding them of key characteristics of enduring faith: It believes the gospel, is disciplined, and endears others to Jesus. Runners need to be motivated, conditioned, and have the right goal in mind. It's no different as we run the race of faith. The writer of Hebrews calls us to run well and helps us understand how to do so. Hebrews 12:1-3

The writer of Hebrews doesn't want his readers to merely have faith. He wants them to show their faith. By looking at the examples in the "hall of faith," we understand how to show our faith today, too.

As chapter 10 ended, we were encouraged to "not shrink back". Chapter 11 opens with a powerful description of faith, explaining how we keep that faith rather than shrink back.

The writer of Hebrews wants his readers to maintain and strengthen their confidence in God. He presents this message with another warning to the Jewish believers.

Hebrews 10 tells us to have confidence in what Jesus has done for us. The law called for perfection and we've blown it. Jesus knew we needed grace...and He has shown it. Now we're part of the family of God... we need to own it.

Are you close enough to Jesus? A lot of people are close... but how close are you? Hebrews 9 reminds us that there's a vast and crucial difference between close and close enough.

Jesus is superior. He's the superior priest who mediates a superior covenant. That's really good news for anybody who puts their trust in Him. Learn more from Hebrews 8.

You've got a great opportunity to show and tell your Savior during this period between becoming a believer and leaving this world when you die. What you show and tell the world really matters... so, how's your witness?
