The only time I heard Uncle Cockie preach was at my gran's funeral. His words about heaven took on new significance when I heard he had died. Listen to what he had to say about coming face-to-face with Jesus.

Oom Cockie was a hard worker right up into his nineties. His example had a profound impact on may people - including Bishop Mokwena, who eulogy we listen to in today's devotion.

Uncle Cockie knew the Holy Spirit's empowering, turning him from sinner to saint. What an example he was to us!

My great uncle Cockie died a few weeks ago. He was a humble man of God! He made me think of Jesus' words in Matthew 6 about treasures in heaven. Perhaps you can be blessed by his life too as you listen to this week's devos.

Our good works don't save us... but we ARE called to good works as a result of our salvation. They are the "fruit", not the "root"! Let's hear Jesus' words commanding us to live holy lives in His honour.

Jesus is our judge, but for those who are saved by His grace, there is no fear of condemnation. What wonderful words of hope we hold onto today!

Will there be a day of judgement? Jesus' words point to it. Don't think that nobody can judge you - there is One who has that right!

As the religious leaders pushed him, Jesus startled them with the claim that he was equal to the Father. Some people deny this today... is it true?

When questioned about his authority, Jesus didn't hold back! First, he told how he and his Father are always at work. Isn't that encouraging today - that, even if we can't see how, God is at work in our lives and in the world. Hold onto this in faith today.

Peter says that God's people are called out of darkness into light, in order to praise God! How vibrant our praise would be if we remembered why we are praising. These devotions are free!
