When thinking about Biblical hospitality, we need to re-frame our perspective. Instead of thinking about hospitality as merely entertaining people, we need to have the mindset that hospitality is welcoming a stranger as though they are family. As Christ followers, when we are hospitable with others, we need to be putting God's goodness on display with those who are far from him.

As we take a look at the Feast of Weeks, as we take a look at harvest principles, and as we look at Pentecost in this message, we find out that until Jesus returns, the Christian life is about bringing lost people to Jesus. We find out in this feast, that God blesses and as we reap His blessings, we need to do so with both gratitude and generosity.

God is including people who walk in obedience to fulfill His plan. He is creating a culture that the Israelites can live by. It is God's plan that we would join Him in fulfilling His plan. Anticipation and expectation are part of this culture as the Israelites look forward to the coming of the Lamb of God. All of this anticipation and expectation were to initiate obedience to God in worship.

When God calls you out of a place or out of sin, the message is to get out, stay out, and don't go back! Haste is essential because the sin that we engage in will destroy our lives. The very next thing that God calls us to do after getting out of sin is to worship Him. We need to have the right perspective, and the only way to do that is to focus ourselves on the living God.

Humans learn best from repeated experiences, especially when creating culture. God's people, the Israelites, were directed by God to create a culture where they upheld His values and honored God above all else. One of the pieces of culture God created were different feasts for different purposes. We take a look at the Passover Feast in this sermon.

Christ gives us the power to do life. The challenging things, the painful things, everything is submitted to Christ and He gives us the power to walk through it. In Christ, we are accepted. Facing life means that we often have to act in faith and trust in God before we feel ready.

At the end of 2 Peter 3, Peter reminds his readers to keep their focus on the Kingdom of God. Not only to keep their focus, but as they wait for Jesus to return, to be active as they wait. We only have knowledge because God gave it to us. God is moral excellence, and this is where we need to start. True knowledge of God comes from experience, not just gathering facts. If we are going to be developing the lifestyle and character that carries the gospel forwards, then we need to be transformed by experiencing God in order to be transformed by Him.

At the foot of the cross we are all redeemed slaves. God is the source of everything that we need. In Christ, we already have everything and do not need to look elsewhere for anything. There is no secret spiritual knowledge that we need to chase after, because in Jesus we have everything.

Harboring hurt plays right into the schemes that demonic forces utilize. Refusing to forgive others means that our own souls will be damaged. When we extend grace, let go of resentment, and forgive those who have done wrong to us, we are coming into alignment with the rules of God's kingdom and are counteracting the effects of demonic schemes.
