As we celebrate our 3rd year together as a church family we go back to our mission: enjoying Jesus, loving people, making disciples. This is what we're all about but the question we want to answer in this year's re-focus series is how? How do we best live this out? The answer...with care. Care that begins with God. (01-07-18)

This Christmas Eve we celebrate the promise of peace that has come to our world. Not the promise of peace in the way we might think; no more wars, illness, sadness, or loss, but a great much deeper peace the comes through knowing Jesus and His love. A peace between man and God brought through the perfect sacrifice of a perfect son who came humbly, in the darkness of night, to bring a great light....

Why is joy worth so much more than happiness? Why does God constantly point to the importance of being filled with Joy? Unlike happiness, joy isn't dependent on our circumstances and goes much deeper, to what we KNOW. How do you find and hold onto Joy? You allow Jesus and His promises to find and hold onto you. (12-17-17)

What kind of love has God promised us? It's not a love that simply tolerates, it's not a love that comes and goes, and it's not a love that grows weary or looks out for its own interests. It's a special love, a unique love, it's an enduring love. (12-10-17)

How has God kept His promises to us? This is what we're looking at this year for Advent, "A Promise Kept." We start this week with the "Hope" of a coming Messiah, one who would come for His people to seek and to save. (12-03-17)

Loving people who love us is a given, but what about people who don't like us? What about people who clearly against us? Jesus turns cultural norms upside down when he says we should not only love our enemies, but should go as far as to pray for them...oh yeah, and "be perfect." How is this possible? Only through Jesus. (11-26-17)

When someone takes advantage or intentionally hurts us, we should get even or at least see justice taken, right? In this section of the Sermon on The Mount Jesus paints a very different picture. One that wouldn't be popular with culture but is crucial for Jesus' disciples. (11-19-17)

Is it really a big deal to break promises or things we swear by? Or, does it go a lot deeper than that? What we see in this section of the Sermon on The Mount is Jesus is much more concerned with a value that's depleting...integrity. (11-12-17)

What does God have to say about divorce? In this part of the sermon on the mount we get a clear perspective on a very challenging and sometime muddy issue. (11-05-17)

Sexual sin is an epidemic in our culture and one that gets brushed away far too easily. Adultery and lust has the power to destroy families, spouses, and dehumanize at the same time. It's not what God wants for you but it will be a fight against the flesh. (10-29-17)

This week Jesus stuns the crowd by making it clear that He hasn't come to blow up the law to but fulfill it and affirm it's importance. What does that mean for us? Where is our hope found in these words of Jesus? (10-15-17)

What does it mean to be "salt" and "light?" Why does Jesus paint this picture of the life of a disciple? For those who are followers of Jesus, we have a clear purpose in this world, even if it gets distorted through cultural norms or trends, and it's not to glorify ourselves but the one who made us. (10-08-17)

What does it mean to live the Christian life? This is exactly what Jesus answers in these first 12 verses of His sermon on the mount. As we walk through this passage and the entire series what becomes incredibly clear is that living the Christian life the way God intends is incredibly counter-cultural. (10-01-17)

In our final week of "The Mission" series we look at making disciples. This is what we believe God has ultimately called us to as a church and a people; to follow hard after Jesus and help others do the same. (09-24-17)

Loving people is a HUGE part of our mission at Redemption. Today we look at the account of The Good Samaritan and how Jesus loved us and in turn have the amazing opportunity to love others out of a response to Him. (09-17-17)

Can you go too far for God to welcome you back? Can you outrun grace? These are the uncomfortable questions we like to avoid but still pop into our minds especially when we've blown it or have taken a long walk (maybe years) away from God to do our own thing. Here's the good news we find in this passage; as long as you have breathe in your lungs, repentance and acceptance are just as available as...

Forgivness and reconciliation are two words that are much easier to say than to live out. In Philemon, Paul goes right at the heart of the gospel as He addresses a friend and calls him to reflect on his own heart. (08-27-17)

Does God really want us to bring our complaints and anger to Him? The answer is yes, because He wants a relationship with the real us, not a "proper" version. In this Psalm Asaph does just that and God not only hears him but works on His heart. (08-20-17)

Where do you go when your strength is spent? When life becomes overwhelming? Whether it's in a relationship, your job, day to day challenges, etc. In Psalm 71, David is in this place but he doesn't run in vein, he runs to God as his refuge. (08-13-17)

90% of civilians don't act when someone is in need of CPR. What about when it goes beyond physical life and into the eternal? How much do we care? At what lengths will we go to give those who are far from Jesus a fighting chance at life? Psalm 53 is a reality check and an urgent call, not just to those who don't believe in Christ, but to the church to act. (08-06-17)

Have you ever asked God, "How Long?" How long will this suffering last? How long will this tough season on life continue? How long? In Psalm 13, David doesn't take time for niceties, he simply asks God how long and if he's been forgotten. Whether you've been there, are there, or will be there, there's hope found in Jesus. (07-30-17)

Is there something you've become too comfortable with that isn't life giving but life taking? In Psalm 1 we see two paths, one leading to life and one leading to death. We also see the reality that when we underestimate the power of sin and its abilities, we overestimate our own and forfeit the joy we really desire. (07-23-17)

Have you ever felt like you've been forgotten by God? Have you ever wondered how much He really cares about and is involved in your life? In Psalm 121 we get a beautiful reminder of God as our "keeper" and the reality that he hasn't forgotten us and never will. (07-09-17)

In Psalm 150 we see a final call for everything that has breathe to give praise to God the creator, to Jesus our savior, to the Holy Spirit our helper. So what does it mean to truly "praise the Lord?" (07-16-17)
