Why is Jesus able to provide us an eternal salvation? I. He's the flawless high priest, v26. II. He's the final sacrifice, v27. III. He's our forever Mediator, v28. 

Jesus is asked a question about divorce, and he begins his answer with this: "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female..." I. Jesus shows God’s love for people by healing them, vv1-2. II. Jesus shows God’s love for people in pointing us to his Word, vv3-4. III. Jesus is the guarantor of a better covenant, who is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Why is Jesus a better priest than any other?  I. Because of God's oath, vv20-21. II. Because he's the guarantor of a better covenant, v22. III. Because he always lives to intercede for us,, vv23-25.

I. Christians must forgive others who sin against us, and keep on forgiving them, vv21-22. II. But how do we do that? What can give us a heart to do that?, vv23-34. III. We aren’t a forgiven person if we don’t forgive others from our heart, v35. 

Jesus is a better hope than the Old Testament law and priesthood could give. Why? Because the law gave a priesthood that brought imperfection, impermanence, and was impotent. But Jesus brings perfection, permanence and power.  So in and by Jesus we can truly draw near to God.
