Recorded at our 2022 Discipleship and Family Conference, Pastor Jamie Mosley helps us think about the gift of family and how we steward that gift well in order to pursue Jesus and raise a next generation that does the same. So how do we get going?

From Galatians 3:1-14. We see that that humans find right relationship with God through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. As followers of Christ, we should ask - where are we prone to add to the gospel message?

From Galatians 2:15-21. We see that our hope is in Christ because of Christ. We stand complete because of what Christ has done for us.

From Galatians 2:11-14. We see that a conflict between Paul and Peter (handled with conviction and grace) pushed the Church of Jesus forward in its faithfulness to the Gospel.

Galatians 1:11-2:10. We see Paul’s argument is that God sent him with the Gospel and this message came directly from Jesus, not passed down from others. This same message has been faithfully preserved and passed along to us. Let us cling to that message.

From Galatians 1:6-10. This week’s challenging passage helps us remember that the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ is our only hope and our only life.

We begin a new series in the book of Galatians. Galatians 1:1-5 shows us that our knowledge of God and our relationship with God is a gift purchased by God. We pray that our study of the book of Galatians will be a new opportunity to be shaped by God and His word.

Today’s message was shared via Facebook (livestream) as we cancelled in-person services due to potential for winter weather. From Colossians 4:2-6, we see that Paul gives us instructions for prayer. We want to properly posture ourselves before the Lord as we pursue Him in prayer - that His purposes will be accomplished in and through us.

The goal of James 1 is to help us understand how much we need God’s wisdom, how quick He is to pour it out and for us to cultivate a heart of faith that asks for His wisdom over and over again.

As we begin a new year, it is a good thing to have a resolve to study and know the Word more. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 helps us with having the right posture, focus, and attitude as we seek to abide in Him in 2022.

As we conclude the Advent season, John tells us (in Revelation 1:4-8) to focus on Jesus who is coming again. He reminds us that we are called to a longing that will only be satisfied fully when our Lord returns to forever dwell with His people.

Continuing in Revelation 1:4-8, we consider that Jesus is the King of kings. The entirety of Scripture tells us of what it means for Jesus to be ruler and King of kings. And because of that, we can and should trust Him, follow Him, and hope in Him.

From Revelation 1:4-8. We see that Jesus is the firstborn of the dead, which means He is the bringer of spiritual and everlasting life. The Lord wants us to go to His son for spiritual life, forgiveness of sin, reconciliation, and restoration. He has come to bring life, so let’s go to Him. We want this passage to drive us to a better vision of Jesus.

From Revelation 1:4-8. As we continue to focus on Advent, this passage shows us that Jesus reveals God’s character and speaks God’s word so that we will listen to Him and follow Him.

From Matthew 6:19-34. Why is Jesus the answer to the world’s brokenness? Why is Jesus the reason for celebration? Until we answer why it matters, a lot of our celebration can be seen as going through the motions. This passage helps us to celebrate the Advent season with Christians around the world, by reminding us that we are to seek the King above all else.

From Matthew 6:19-34. Christians born of the Spirit respond to the teaching of the Kingdom by seeking the King and seeking the Kingdom that He is building. The challenge of seeking the Kingdom is actually seeking and fighting against the opponents of the Kingdom.

From Matthew 4:23-5:12. What is the blessing of belonging to God’s kingdom and what is my role in the kingdom? The invitation of Jesus is allow yourself to be flipped upside down and allow your orientation to the “good life” be shaken in such a way where you say ‘I want the life that Jesus came to bring and may I find joy in that’.

From Acts 1:1-11. We see that If we are in Christ, we have the Spirit and if we have the spirit of God, then God intends to empower us, together, to carry out His work in the world.

From John 18:28-19:16. Are we willing to worship Jesus that is building a kingdom that doesn’t exalt us now? Are we willing to worship Jesus even if it might result in the present suffering that is preparation for eternal exaltation?

From John 3:1-21. What are the essential truths of the kingdom of God? Who are the people of God? This passage tells us that the kingdom of God is entered through Christ and requires work of the Holy Spirit.

From Matthew 6:9-13. We begin a new sermon series studying how Jesus taught us to pray for God’s kingdom. We see that Jesus wants us to pray for his kingdom, to long for his kingdom, and for us to live for the kingdom in the here and now.

From Titus 3:12-15. As we wrap up our series from the book of Titus, we find Paul telling us that building a single church, while a piece of the puzzle, is not our end goal. The goal is for the body of Christ to be in all places, exposed to the Gospel of Jesus, pursuing faithfulness and fruitfulness.

From Titus 3:9-11. We see that God has given His people something excellent and profitable. We are to focus on Jesus and not let the other things that are unprofitable or foolish take our focus away from Him.

From Titus 3:1-8. We see that the world will know we are Christ followers when we model His heart in front of the world. Others will see the hope of Christ in us when we live differently, specifically, as we maintain a heart of peace, hope, and joy even in the midst of a turbulent age.
