From Titus 2:1-15. Following Jesus is intended to bear fruit. An often repeated element of the fruit of the spirit and one that is of particular focus in this passage is the character of self-control. This passage helps us answer the question: What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ?

From Titus 2:1-15. This passage calls us to a way of life that isn’t glamorous, but is one that pleases the Lord, builds His kingdom, and is good for us. This passage should help us reshape our understanding of discipleship.

From Titus 1:10-16, we see that the truth of God’s saving grace is worth defending. Said another way, getting the truth of God’s saving grace wrong is eternally dangerous.

From Titus 1:5-9, we see that Godly, pastoral leadership within a congregation is necessary for the posture of healthiness and faithfulness of a congregation.

As we begin our next series in the book of Titus, we see that Paul writes this book for the Church to position the Church for faithfulness in the present and in the future.

In our conclusion of our series in the book of Exodus, we see that the presence of God is the blessing of God to the people of God.

Because God has & will graciously finish His work of redemption and deliverance, we ought to delight in and eagerly desire to complete the work He has given us.

In Exodus 34, we see that the work of God, through Israel, will move forward because of God’s covenant faithfulness and God’s mercy.

In Exodus 33, we see how God responds to Moses' cry and plea for God to show him His glory. Moses cried out and God heard and revealed to Moses His character to fuel and empower Moses to lead God's people forward.

How does God respond to the rebellion of His people against Him? Exodus 32 shows us that how God responds is intended to teach us things about God’s character. Among several things, we see that God does not take sin lightly, God is just and God is merciful to His people.

Exodus 32 tells us that rebellion through covenant breaking is never acceptable to God. We rebel against God in many different ways, yet God remains faithful to keep His promises to rescue and redeem us..

Exodus 31 calls us to ask if there is space in our life to reflect upon the Lord and his mercy, grace, and goodness. Where in our days and weeks is there space to think about and look toward and pursue the Lord who has pursued us?

Continuing in Exodus 29, we find that we are here to see and experience together the love, mercy, graciousness, and the power of redemption through Christ Jesus. That is what brings God glory.

From Exodus 29, we read about the establishment of the priesthood as a key component of the Lord meeting with His people.

From Exodus 25:10-22. We read that Christ is our place to go for atonement for our sin. He is also our place to go to find an advocate before God and our place to go to experience the joy of knowing God.

From Exodus 31:1-11. We see that God will use the labors of His people, moved by the power of the Spirit, to accomplish His work.

From Exodus 24:12-25:9. God desires not just to redeem a people, not just to give law and word to a people, but to dwell among his people.

From Exodus 24, the Lord sums up all that we do with the words that God has spoken. God's relationship with us is defined by what He has done and what He has spoken.

From Exodus 23:20-33, we see that Lord desires that we know Him, hear Him, and walk with Him. He generously gives His people all they need in order for them to know where He is taking them and to encourage them in their faithfulness to Him.

From Exodus 23:10-19, we see that God intended to create, within Israel, a culture of worship and focus on the Lord. And God desires the same of us, that we would create habits that drive us to Jesus.

From Exodus 22:16-23:9, we see that our God is a God of justice and because of that truth, in our lives and our communities, we must be just.

From Exodus 21:33-22:15, we see that the Lord cares about our interpersonal dynamics and He calls us to seek quick reconciliation when a wrong has been committed.

Ephesians 1:15-23 tells us we are never lacking the spiritual power to obey, serve, or trust God if we are in Christ. Jesus is alive because he overcame death. And the life of Jesus is the power for the people of God to move forward in faith.
