Paul concludes the book of Romans with a doxology focused on the very center and purpose of the universe...God Himself.

Paul admonishes the Roman church to be on the lookout for divisive slick talkers who will try to lead them astray.  And he encourages them that God ultimately wins the battle with and for them.  

Take time to slow down and greet your brothers and sisters.  Love people on purpose, like Paul shows us here in Romans 16.    

What does it mean and what does it look like to live for something bigger than myself?  As a follower of Jesus, we see some characteristics of the transcendent life in Paul's personal words in Romans 15.

Paul speaks of making his ministry to preach the Gospel where it has never been preached his ambition.  We look at that ambition and his methods in this passage.  

As Paul brings the doctrinal and practical section of Romans to a close, he prays for one thing for his readers...hope.  Why?  What's the big deal about hope?  

We all have one purpose as followers of Jesus, and the question is whether or not we know that or not.  What is that purpose, and how do we fulfill it?  Can we know if we are fulfilling it?  Is there hope that we can draw from in looking to fulfill it?  

Knowing why you're doing what you're doing helps to focus and motivate you.  Paul reminds us of why in this passage about our weaker brother.

Ever get distracted? Ever need to just get back to the main thing and stay focused on that? Paul points to the main thing in Romans 14:16-19, and it is the Kingdom of God.

How important is conscience? Your conscience? Your brother's conscience? Should we care, and, if so, how much? Is this really a big deal? Romans 14:13-15 says it is.

Is man a two part being or a three part being?  What is a conscience?  Does everybody have one?  Does any of it matter?  Romans 14:13-14 push us to answer these questions when we have to consider our brother dealing with matters of non-essential convictions.  

How important is my response to my brother's convictions?  Is it really a big deal?  Probably much bigger than we realize.  Romans 14 digs into this issue.

How do we handle differing convictions within the church?  How do we know what to confront and what to look over?  Can I love my brother and have different convictions than him?  Hard questions with clear answers in Romans 14.

Light and dark, wake or sleep, work or get drunk?  How should we live as Christians if we are to love and worship properly?

The commands in Romans 13 concerning governing authorities are some of the most straightforward and clear in Scripture.  But are they for us?  How are we to address them?  With a "Yeah, but..." mentality?  

Looking at a list of 18 commands in Romans 12 makes us feel rightfully overwhelmed.  What's the answer, what's the key to living this Christ-mandated life?
