Great to have an update on the School of Hope Mission in Dominican Republic. Cherilyn also brought a great word! We can be faced with many challenges but what is priority? Jesus calls us to a challenge which puts all other challenges in their place. The challenge of Servanthood. The Kingdom of heaven defines one who serves as great, if we want to imitate Jesus we must serve.

Community is one of the greatest containers for growth in the life of the believer. To belong is to be devoted to practice over preference. Preference feels like mind reading, where practice means engaging and gaining clarity. This is honoring to another. So how do we walk this out?

We all have a backpack of responsibilities in relationships and work. These responsibilities easily turn from a manageable backpack to an overwhelming burden. We fear being a burden yet to bear another's burden is a key foundation to seeing the Kingdom realized and discovery of our true selves. So how do we walk this out?

We are faced with an ever-increasing issue of loneliness in this culture. We experience welcoming, hospitality, agreement on values, yet we barely know or like each other…The church is in danger of becoming a lonely crowd. Why is this happening and what does it mean to belong?

It is strange that while the Bible has so much to say about spiritual conflict, so many Christians and entire denominations want to ignore it altogether. We need to have an understanding of how the demonic realm gains entrance in our lives and what we can do about it. Christians are not immune to this. Healing is not just individual work, it takes a community. In today's message as we learn to relax into Jesus healing authority. What does that look like in community?

Prophecy as said by Wayne Grudem is “Speaking what God spontaneously brings to mind”. Through the Spirit we have been given the mind of Christ in which God speaks through. Today we got to hear from different voices on what that looks like and how. 

In our first practice of the Holy Spirit we look at the gift of tongues. The most misunderstood gift a "private language of love". What is it and how does it aid my life? Is it essential? 

We all hunger for something yet hear the cry “But I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.”  Billy Graham once said, “The most desperate need of the nation today is that men and women who profess Jesus be filled with the Spirit. Our infinite hunger is only filled with a life in the Spirit. Spiritual life is not a demand but a desire, how do we live this out?

As we wake up, we breathe in content, words, images, the news of the day. Out of that breath, we breathe word and action into our worlds. Yet with all our breath our worlds can feel like a deflated balloon. Something that looked good but now is a shadow of what it once was. We need a life of a Spirit empowered breath! 

Mother's Day can be a lonely day for many, even those who are mothers. If you are motherless, childless, or a Mom struggling to make it, the day might make you feel like a misfit. This message is encouragement for all who struggle in this space.

All of us can relate to the phrase "Unfinished Projects" because most of us see them in front of us on a regular basis. Our spiritual walks are the same, yet we have a gift in the Holy Spirit who slowly brings together our greatest project "Christ Likeness".

As we continue to know the Holy Spirit through scripture's metaphors we see more His role in our lives and the life to live.

The unexpected comes into our world and like the disciples on resurrection Sunday, we can ask where is Jesus? This is not what I had planned. But what if the disillusionment is in fact a gift of revealing the illusion we lived under. What if the unexpected Resurrection is a journey we must all take in "Trusting Beyond Knowing"?

As we continue to understand who the Holy Spirit is, we look at the metaphor of water. Water in the first  page of the Bible is seen as chaos yet God transforms it to hold new life. Who is the Holy Spirit in this and how does it apply to us?

To walk in the Spirit, is to experience the fruits of the Spirit. This is our greatest joy and challenge, to walk and hear Him. In this message we look at how interruptions can be a gift to experiencing the fruits of the Spirit.

We are dying to truly live, yet we die to the wrong things to truly live. We are dying to experience life, yet die giving of ourselves to the wrong things. So what should we be dying to? In Matt 10:26-42 Jesus lays out a Kingdom way of living.

"And you will hated for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved". As Jesus prepares His disciples for Kingdom work, He explains you will be persecuted because of me. Why does this happen? How do we walk faithfully?

Matt 10:9-15 - Jesus’ teaching of going into the world is more than just good evangelism. It teaches us how to walk in the world. It teaches us the power of the Simplicity of Heart, to center on one thing in a world that tries to divide our souls. So how does this happen?

“Loneliness is the leprosy of the modern world – Mother Teresa” Thou we are more connected than ever, the feeling of disconnection, of isolation is the real pandemic issue. For Jesus community is non-optional in following Him. Not laying out a list of rules but an invitation of relationship, “come follow me.” What are the road blocks to this? How do we live a Kingdom Culture of community?

What does it mean to Reign in the Kingdom of God? Many in the gospels missed it and today we still struggle with this same question.

There is an ever growing battle of Kingdom's, between God and our own kingdom. Jesus calls us to the good news of His Kingdom by Repenting and Believing. But what does that mean? What does that look like?
