As Christians we are called to be bringers of the good news, yet we witness in a nation in decline of faith… From 2000-2020 45%, now to 25% actively follow Jesus…There is a connection between the decision-making good news we give, and the absent passion of following Jesus we see. I believe we have a good news problem. Do we know what Jesus calls the good news?

It’s not always “major” sin or forsaking our faith that takes us away from our First Love. It’s often much more subtle things that draw us away. If we ask God to make us aware of those things, and are intentional to contend against them, we can return, and remain, in that place of First Love.

We all face the constant challenge of growing past our love for Jesus… With just absorbing information and failing to create space to experience His real love. We are in danger of leaving our first love. What causes this to happen? How do we recapture our first love?

TRUE KING: The 3rd gift from the wise men was “Gold” representing the Kingship of Jesus. Looking back through the story of Matt 2:1-12 we see a tale of 2 kings. If you were the Wisemen, who would you call King? How do we find the true King? What is the gift of gold we can give our world?

In this series we look at the gift that Jesus is to us and the gift we can be to others. Myrrh represents the character of Jesus as a suffering servant. What does this mean for us and why should we live this out?

In John 10:10 Jesus promised to give abundant life to those who believe in Him. Sadly, many trust Jesus as Savior but go right back to their familiar way of living. This message is a reminder that the Christian life is more than mere existence. We are called to live in such a way that the world will be drawn to Jesus, who is the source of our life.

Thankfulness is bed rock to our culture and we as people desire to be more thankful, yet many of us have 𝗜𝗙’𝘀 & 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡’𝗦 in life which prevent this. But is t𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 a 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 actually 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.

Forgiveness for us all brings a story to mind… stories of rejection, abuse, cheated on, lied to, failed on… We know the words of Jesus to forgive, but in our hearts we ask the same question as Peter, “How many times". You wouldn't understand my pain Jesus... How can I find beauty in forgiveness?

RIVERS IN THE DESERT – ISAIAH 43:16-21 This well-known passage is a promise of living water to flow in dry, baron hearts and systems of the world! But have you ever thought what causes these deserts in the first place?  To know this brings more purpose for a need of a river.

What does it mean for us to be Point View Church? Transforming people. 2 Cor 3:18 we are transformed by the Spirit into Gods image, step by step. But we have a knowing, doing gap... We know what we should do, yet it rarely materializes. Your loves/desires are the bridge to move from knowing to doing... so how do we order our loves to be a bridge to the transformation we long to see?

There is always something you can’t see influencing what you can see. Paul in his final section of the letter to the Ephesians calls them to stand against not people, but the dark powers of this world with Spiritual warfare. Paul lays out what we are fighting and how we fight it.

In this section of Ephesians (6:1-9), Paul addresses healthy relationships. He begins earlier (5:21) by introducing the principle of mutual submission, then addressing how it works in marriage. Our text deals with how it works in parent/child relationships as well as with slave/master relationships. Mutual submission means that both parties are responsible to love and serve the other.

Marriage is a covenant: a permanent and personal binding commitment you make to another person. Not just declaring present love but forever love. In this section of Paul's letter we see him lay out guard rails of submission to another for flourishment. Enjoy this panel discussion as we look at what it means and how we live it out.

In this challenging yet life giving message, Pastor Jonny navigates the issues of bad imitations of God's love. We experience good and bad imitations everyday. We can tell a bad imitations on how it is made, its cheap, it breaks, and it's unfulfilling. Yet we still consume it... We need a better why to lead us to the good imitations in life.

Paul's letter to the Ephesians takes a shift from our position in Christ to the practice of a life in Christ. Thou we are one body each of us is uniquely gifted so that when each part is working properly, the body grows building itself up in love. You are essential! You are needed!
