Podcasting in Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

These members have been asking for a podcast about cars since the summer. I love cars and I always want to learn what our members know about topics like this. I think the real question is what car do you think you can afford in about 10years?

I would like to invite all our latin people to Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Podcast. A few times a year I like to involve a few of our members that only speak Spanish. It is very important for me to be as inclusive as possible with our members.

We talk about our family culture in this week of being thankful. We all come different places in the world but one thing we all have in common is our love for our family. We are and should be proud of our family and our cultures. 

Welcome to the Brent's Club Podcast. In this club we talk to the older members about some serious topics like substance abuse and we have open conversations. It is always good to get our members perspective on things that effect them outside our clubhouses.

In a few years these young ladies will be voting and should know whats on the table. I'm very glad that the members of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club have some knowledge about some of Woman's Rights. This was a very open conversation.

Talking sports with our members is so much fun. I really like to get into it with them. You had to see some of their faces I was holding back the laughter. 

Today we doing a podcast with the teen girls and you never know where it is going. I challenge a few of them and ask then to call their mothers and get them on the phone and include them in the podcast. The teen at Kips Boys Boys & Girls Club are a bunch of members to get good podcast from. 

The young girls from Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club talk about there futures and the dream jobs. It is always great to have our members talking and looking forward to something in there lives. I hope them all luck but don't be scared of any hurtles ahead that might come.

I would like to welcome our Director Of Operations Mr. Sinclair Hollingsworth to our podcast. Mr. Hollingsworth might be the hardest administrator to get to the studio just because he is always traveling between our sites. This is a great conversation from a club member to now director. He has done it all listen to his story and what he thinks is the future of Kips Bay Boys and Girls Clubs.

A few months ago we cut the ribbon on a state of the art kitchen at the Frederic R. & Margaret Coudert Clubhouse. This new space will be a place for all of our members from every clubhouse to come and learn about the culinary arts. Today I would like to introduce Chef Eve and talk a little about what will be happen in the kitchen this year.

I would like to welcome Ms. Brittany to the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club family. Ms. Brittany talks about her first 6 months working for Kips Bay.

We have a special quest on the podcast. This podcast is with Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Mr. Dan Quintero. We first did a podcast 2 years ago in the very beginning of the pandemic. It feels fit to have Mr. Quintero back to discuss all that happened and how we as a company are moving forward to help our members and the community of the Bronx New York that we serve.

Our members at Lucile Palmaro wanted to let the world know what they are watching on TV. Some of the movies and shows are totally new to me but I have to take their word that is good and maybe but the show on my must watch list.

I would like to introduce everyone to our Flagship Location Lucile Palmaro Clubhouse. I am happy to finally start doing some podcast with our members from the other side of the Bronx. We will be introducing podcasting to many of our nine locations this year and this will open up a new line of communication with our members. I look forward to being part of this program throughout our many locations...

It was a little sad when i asked my staff that I needed them to help me with a podcast and no one answered. With the help of my Director Britney we got 3 staff members to stop what they where doing and rush down and helped me. We are learning about interviewing skills and podcasting. In this podcast we learn about open ended questions. We also learn how to listen to the answers giving by the interviewee and follow up with another question.

Our teen members let me have it. They had a lot to say about school rules and uniforms. When I bring up the cell phone they go crazy and explain how Yondr pouches and how they hate them.

We are going in deep into the world of Anime. This topic is complicated and so many shows and characters. As a new comer to the world of Anime I have so many questions. What should I watch? What is popular? Is that a movie or TV show? Where can I watch? The members of the clubhouse do a great job helping me understand. Special thanks to our caller Isaiah for joining us on the phone.

Parents are on it I hope. Screen Time and limiting your child's time on TV , Gaming, and social media is very important. Today we learn a lot from a child's point of view. We discuss whats a good time to be on and even sneak in a little talk about bed times. 

We all like to relax and listen to music. We also like all types of music from Hip Hop to Salsa. Today we will learn what our young members are listening to. 

The members finally got their wish come true. Podcast that is all about Rodblox. I am so new to this. My daughters are playing this game with there classmates, The members of the Kips Bay Boys Club are playing during free time. Adults are into this game. I wanna know everything I can about this Internet game.

Pets are great for so many reasons. They teach us how to be responsible for something thats a living thing. It helps many of us when we are lonely. They can also put a smile on our face and teach us about caring and loving. Our young members open their hearts and tell us some stories about pets in this podcast.

Are You A Sneaker Head? I see members at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club asking this question all the time. I wondered what is a Sneaker Head? Our older members tried to educate us on this fashion trend and we get some answers about this crazy life of a Sneaker Head.

New staff, new admin, new members, and new energy at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Times are always changing and so are we. It's a time of change but that also brings some good energy. We should all look forward to Season #7 and what we have planned at the clubhouse.

We have heavy hearts in the  United States Of America for England's Queen. This past week Queen Elizabeth passed away at the age of 96. The whole world is in morning. Our kids at the clubhouse want to talk about this event and we try our best to honor the Queen.
