Podcasting in Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

Welcome back! Today we start Season #7. Thank You for all the support and following our Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Podcast. We have a lot of new things this year so please stay tuned. 

This is a bitter sweet moment. It's our big trip of the summer but also our last trip. We have had a great time in the past on this trip to Camel Back Water Park and hope that it continues. It has been a great bonding trip for all the staff, SYEP and members. We always need to prepare for these big events and this podcast is about what we expect from the members.

This is a question that I ask myself everyday. I have two girls and I wanna be the kool dad but I want them to respect the rules my wife and I have. This comes from the kids point of view. Lets here what they thing is a good age for them to start doing girly stuff. I might not agree with there time line but lets at least hear them out.

The girls have a favorite class and spoiler alert its not podcasting. I welcome any positive feed back we get from our members. If this passion for this class keeps them walking through our doors its a win for us here at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. I would like to thank them all for being so honest.

What we do every single day are the things we don't talk about. We are all blessed to wake up and start our day. Our daily routines let us start our days right and shape us for the day ahead.

Today is our fun day. Any day that we can represent hour favorite sports club its a wonderful day. I see New York Yankees are the favorites. Followed by anything Lebron and my favorite team The Steelers is well represented here at the clubhouse. This podcast we talk about the love for our teams and the joy of watching them Live of on TV.

As young as our members are we have very creative minds. They love S.T.E.M and wanted to do a podcast about inventing stuff. It is very powerful to be creative and think outside the box thats how new ideas happen. I have the privilege to let them speak their minds and this is what they come up with in our podcast.

Every group this summer is trying to host their own podcast show. The Stars are really ready to shine. I give them all credit for learning how to use the equipment and creating their own sound effects. Congrats on your first podcast but I know it will not be your last.

We are a few weeks into summer camp 2022. The groups and gelling and they are working hard in Digital Arts on their beats, movie, and podcast. This is the first time the group called "The Outsides" are doing a podcast without me. They did a great job.

Our members are always telling me Mr. Ish that was the way people did things back in the days. It's funny to me so i want to hear what things they did back in the days. I tell them I didn't have a cell phone I went to me friends house knocked and asked can Jerry come out to play. I think this is a good way to remember how we all grew up. Enjoy this trip down memory lane.

Let's talk anime. I'm going to say it right now I don't know much about this subject but the members do. It is very popular in every age group and both girls and boys like it. I will learn something today and maybe you will too.

I want to shout out all the staff of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. This podcast is all about the members love for all our specialist. We are stacked with great specialist from dance, beat making, film, and podcasting. The members are so happy we have these programs for them.

We start this podcast talking about our pets and those we wish we had when things change quickly. One of the summer camp members says she has 2 pets and no names. I quickly say how do you have pets with no names. Please name your pets

The summer has started and so has Kips Bay Summer Camp. This first week we get to meet all the members all the new staff. The weeks will fly  by and many stories will be told during summer camp.

This year we are back to making our out short film. In film class we will learn everything from budgeting, lighting, story boards, camera angles and acting. Join us and hear what the members thing about the class.

As our campers get older they start thinking about dating. Full disclaimer they always come up with the topics and I try to make sure they have a voice even if i don't agree with it at this age. We learn from the girls 11-13 years of age what they think about dating.

In the summer we like to eat many different foods. Our Summer Camp members have a menu for us. They talk about the foods they like and dislike. Some people think of ice cream and fruits as a summer dish others like soups in the summer. Lets all talk about it.

We have trips again this year. The last two years we did not have any bus trips but this year things have changed. We will be traveling at least two times a week on trips. Let the fun begin.

I have always tried to steer away from gaming podcast but these young campers put me in a corner. I think everyone in this podcast is a new member and this is the first time they ever tried podcasting so i'm giving them a shot. Welcome to the podcasting world and maybe I can learn something about gaming.

It's that time of year again. We can't wait for this summer camp season to start. I would like to welcome everyone back and also welcome all the new members and staff. This year we are almost back to normal. We have trips and are going out of our way to make it fun.

This was a very weird year. School was getting back to normal and so was our after school program. every month that passed by more and more members walk through our doors. We got many of our old members back and many new faces. On this day we celebrate all that we did this year. We had many special guest during this podcast.

It was a great school year. We had a blast doing podcast and learned a lot from each other. Things are going back to normal after a strange couple of years. I'm going back to the basics. I would really like to groom some of our members to become the host of their own podcast show. I first have to see if they have the skills to interview someone. If not I will have to teach them.
