Episodes

Episode 306: Zardoz (1974) 15.08.2019

When John Boorman wants to do a Sci-Fi epic I guess no one could tell him no. Sean Connery has never looked hairier than in this film. You know the famous outfit he wears too. That red looking man-kini. Look it up.

Episode 305: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) 07.08.2019

We go Texas this episode! Since Scott's move to Texas we've talked about reviewing more film about and from there. We start with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and never look back.

Episode 304: It's Alive (1974) 01.08.2019

There was definitely not a shortage of horror films from the 70's. This is actually one of the better ones. When a family and the surrounding city is torn apart by their escaped demon seed newborn, things get hairy and interesting.

Episode 303: Caged Heat (1974) 18.07.2019

Caged Heat has everything you'd expect in a female prison movie. It has a few things that you wouldn't expect either. Tune in and find out just what we think and if it's worth revisiting.

Episode 302: Soylent Green (1973) 20.06.2019

Soylent Green is made...Well, lets not get too far. Considered a classic from 1973 we decided to put that to the test. Does it still hold up? Find out.

Episode 301: The World's Greatest Athlete (1973) 13.06.2019

This week we review The World’s Greatest Athlete Starring Jan Michael Vincent. This is Back when Disney tried to make movies and poorly at that. It’s amazing to think they own 60 percent of everything at this point.

Episode 300: Westworld (1973) 06.06.2019

Episode 300! So do we celebrate? No. What we really did was change formats on movie challenges. We are going back to Scott's birth year of 1973 and making out way to present day!

Episode 299: Ice Pirates (1984) 09.05.2019

Ice Pirates has always been a bad movie favorite of ours going all the back to our childhood. Listen in as we discuss and dissect this gem from 1984.

Episode 298: The 91st Oscars LIVE (2019) 24.02.2019

The 91st Oscars are upon us! Listen is as Scott and Joey (with the wives for a short time) watch the Oscars LIVE. The ballots are filled, the winners are announced, Scott is tired as hell and the show is still 3 hours long.

Episode 297: Oscar Talk: Green Book (2018) 13.02.2019

Green Book is one of the front runners for Best Picture and there's no question about it. Who knew Peter Farrelly could direct something this good?

Episode 296: Oscar Talk: Roma (2018) 13.02.2019

Roma is a beautiful movie. Even the sound is beautiful. To feel this immersed in a drama is pretty astounding. Overall we liked it but maybe not Best Picture.

Episode 295: Oscar Talk: Vice (2018) 31.01.2019

Vice, while being a very good film, we didn't love it as much as The Big Short. Christian bale for best actor but no Best Picture this time around.

Episode 294: Oscar Talk: The Favourite (2018) 31.01.2019

The Favourite is probably a front runner due to it being a period piece but it hits all the right notes too. Can it win Best Picture though?

Episode 293: Oscar Talk: BlacKkKlansman (2018) 24.01.2019

Spike Lee has outdone himself this time around. Based on the NY Times best seller, it stands out amongst other films nominated this year. A really great film truly deserving of the award Best Picture.

Episode 292: Oscar Talk: Black Panther (2018) 24.01.2019

Black Panther was the second biggest film in 2018 and deservedly so, it's a good comic book film. Unfortunately there isn't anything that stands out against many other comic book films to get a best picture nomination.

Episode 291: Oscar Talk: Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) 20.01.2019

Our second review in the Best Picture category tells the story of the band Queen and to a lesser extent Freddy Mercury. Rami nails it even though he doesn't look very much like the famous front-man.

Episode 290: Oscar Talk: A Star Is Born (2018) 20.01.2019

The first of the 8 Best Picture nominees this year. We review A Star Is Born. While not only a good film it's definitely the best rendition. Will it take top honors? We'll have to wait and see.

Episode 289: January Movies (2019) 03.01.2019

Scott and Joey watch and speculate all the trailers for the January releases for 2019. Escape Room, A Dogs Way Home, Replicas, The Upside, Glass, Serenity, The Boy Who Would Be King.

Episode 288: Spacehunter (1983) 20.12.2018

In Spacehunter Michael Ironside could be the most underutilized villain of the 80's. He's barely on screen, the contraption he's in doesn't make me think he should be in charge or unbeatable in any way. Still kinda liked it though.

Episode 287: Timerider (1982) 13.12.2018

Every mom and pop video store in the 80's had this poster hanging. So what happens when you want to make a time travel film but have no budget? Yeah, you make it in the past before technology and the age of electricity.

Episode 286: My Science Project (1985) 06.12.2018

A childhood favorite and a little know Disney film that had to compete in the summer against films like The Goonies, Back To The Future and Teen Wolf. Fisher Stevens and Dennis Hopper are saving graces. Whatta Rush!

Episode 285: Legion (2010) 08.11.2018

When God's had enough of the human race because we suck, he wants to start over. Michael the archangel decides to go against God's will because we're entitled little bitches who deserve to continue screwing stuff up. Way to go dude!

Episode 284: Mimic (1997) 01.11.2018

Guillermo Del Toro had a different vision and had to fight every inch of the way and the movie still sucked. A true testament to how good a director he really is when he's given artistic freedom he doesn't make movies like Mimic.

Episode 283: The Nest (1988) 18.10.2018

When scientifically modified cockroaches take over the town, things go sour fast. The mayor's daughter comes back to town to screw everything up. The sheriff doesn't know what he's doing and the local exterminator has all the brains.

Episode 282: Slugs (1988) 20.09.2018

When people start turning up dead in a small quite town, things get suspicious. The health inspector is thought to be crazy for his suggestion of killer slugs. I'm sure the book is better.
