Episodes
Episode 481: The Art Of Dying (1991) 02.07.2026 50:20
Wings Hauser never disappoints! This 90's noir style crime drama is bad but is it horrible? Directed by Hauser and you can tell by giving himself sex scenes and macho dialogue.
Episode 480: Angel II Avenging Angel (1985) 25.06.2026 52:46
A hooker, a cowboy, and a Jewish dyke? Joey and Scott round up the usual ragtag bunch of misfit vigilantes in this unexpectedly goofy eighties exploitation sequel.
Episode 479: Psych-Out (1968) 11.06.2026 40:50
Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dern, and Dean Stockwell let their Freak Flags fly in this gritty look at the psychedelic sixties.
Episode 478: The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane (1990) 28.05.2026 58:46
Hickory Dickory Dock! Joey and Scott went up a hill to review an Andrew Dice Clay film. OH!!!
Episode 477: Watch Me When I Kill (1977) 14.05.2026 36:14
Joey and Scott review a somewhat lackluster Giallo, although it's nowhere near as weird as Death Laid an Egg.
Episode 476: Nightbreed (1990) 07.05.2026 53:54
Scott saw this in the theater 35 years ago and hated it. Will watching all three versions of the film change his mind?
Episode 475: The Delta Force (1986) 30.04.2026 52:33
Joey and Scott commemorate the life of recently deceased action star Chuck Norris by watching one of the films that launched his ass-kicking career.
Episode 474: Alien Romulus (2024) 26.03.2026 38:40
What Joey felt was a solid good film in the Alien franchise, Scott did not. For any mistakes it may have, it's better than anything Alien based in a while.
Episode 473: Gamer (2009) 19.03.2026 1:09:13
A film that tries too hard to be edgy and cool along with high velocity action scenes. Nearly everything in this movie doesn't work. Dexter and Leonidas can't save this one.
Episode 472: Oscar Talk: Oscar Predictions (2026) 12.03.2026 54:30
This is our prediction episode. Scott and Joey go over every category and pick their winners. We'll see who wins the following week!
Episode 471: Oscar Talk: The Secret Agent (2025) 26.02.2026 31:31
An excellent film that we're happy to see the recognition it deserves. Films like this were able to get nominated because voters didn't buy the Wicked or Avatar hype.
Episode 470: Oscar Talk: One Battle After Another (2025) 26.02.2026 36:23
The inevitable Best Picture winner in my opinion. Scott thinks so too. One of Paul Thomas Anderson's best, if not his best film to date.
Episode 469: Oscar Talk: F1 (2025) 19.02.2026 25:01
The only true blue popcorn film on the list. A surprise that it's nominated for Best Picture but after watching you see why. A fun and thrilling film from beginning to end.
Episode 468: Oscar Talk: Marty Supreme (2025) 19.02.2026 54:27
Loosely based or more accurately inspired by the real Mary Reisman, Marty Supreme is another excellent film by Josh Safdie. He's capable of getting just about any performance he needs from just about anyone.
Episode 467: Oscar Talk: Hamnet (2025) 12.02.2026 28:19
The story of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes after the loss of their son due to the black plague. Another extremely well made movie. I expect Jesse Buckley to walk away with the little golden man.
Episode 466: Oscar Talk: Train Dreams (2025) 12.02.2026 30:21
Deeply depressing and sad film. Tells the story of logger through his life and all the happiness (not much) sadness, trauma and heartache along the way. Scott cried, Joey didn't.
Episode 464: Oscar Talk: Bugonia (2025) 05.02.2026 39:20
A remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save The Green Planet! Lots to praise here but will it win best picture or any other nominations? Realistically not.
Episode 465: Oscar Talk: Sentimental Value (2025) 05.02.2026 31:58
A very well made movie. A little too much hype though. Better films could have been nominated for Best Picture in its spot.
Episode 463: Oscar Talk: Sinners (2025) 29.01.2026 24:45
Sinners broke the record of 14 oscar nominations with 16 this year. Joey doesn't feel it's best picture material even though he enjoyed it quite a bit. Scott feels it is. We both agree it's great though.
Episode 462: Oscar Talk: Frankenstein (2025) 29.01.2026 34:45
Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein is as beautiful as it is a masterpiece. There isn't much wrong with this film but will it win Best Picture? We don't think so. If Guillermo hadn't won already for Shape Of Water it might have.
Episode 461: Oscar Nominations (2025) 22.01.2026 59:01
We talk about all the Oscar nominated films for 2025. What will win, what will not. Who's right?
Episode 460: Society (1989) 15.01.2026 55:48
Brian Yuzna's 80's horror classic wasn't released in America for nearly 3 years. I can see why people were afraid of this film as it's one of the best body horror movies to come out in that time period. It's not perfect but you should still check it out.
Episode 459: Ultraviolet (2006) 08.01.2026 45:36
Pretending to be a comic book wrapped in a sci-fi action film in one of the worst renditions around. The action scenes are formulaic and so bad it feels like a workprint. The story is thin and the concept is frustrating.
Episode 458: Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls (1970) 05.12.2025 1:00:41
Directed by Russ Meyer and written by Roger Ebert, a film about making it in the 70's as a rock band and all that goes with it. It's tastes like the 60's so much I was looking for Austin Powers the whole time.
Episode 457: The Lawnmower Man (1992) 13.11.2025 39:36
Loosely based on the Stephen King short story is highly inaccurate. Director's cut is a better movie but still only average.
