In this episode, we intended to give a sort of update on our current thought processes but ended up in one of our conversations that trails off to many topics and thoughts. So, you get a glimpse into what it’s like when we talk to each other. Enjoy!

What have we allowed ourselves to believe because of the institutional church? That talent = anointing? church membership = being born again? disagreements = persecution? church positions = spiritual authority? Have we inadvertently placed our faith in these “good deeds”? 

Ezekiel delivers a message to the false shepherds in Chapter 34.

Let’s talk church leadership. What’s your idea of a good church leader? Do you hold your pastor in an unhealthy high regard? Have you place unBiblical and unattainable expectations on those in authority? Are those church leadership roles Biblical? Are your church leaders fulfilling their role according to scripture or according to man? This is the first part of a discussion around church leaders. 

Most Christians would not admit that a person’s righteousness is wrapped up in their church attendance, but yet measure the faith of others (and ourselves) by our quality of church attendance.  There’s nothing wrong with going, but WHY are you going? And are you seeking and cultivating a relationship with Christ outside of the four walls of a building?

Who is your real enemy?

This episode was recorded in two settings after a period of time of not really knowing what to talk about next. There so many topics we discuss privately, but could not settle on one to share with you. Going through Matthew 5, we end up discussing church hurt. The title of this episode is “Raw” because that’s exactly where some feelings are right now - raw. I hope our transparency in this episode...

Continuing in Ezekiel, we parallel the current spiritual climate within the institutional church with the nation of Israel during the Babylonian captivity.
