The Misfortunates journey back from Davriel Kane's demon haunted estate to the high walled frontier city of Estwald, now in dire straits as the people grow impoverished trying to pay for safe passage out. Norric makes the scene, Loren makes a potion, and Butler picks up the violin.

Our heroes experience their last week of downtime before Vali's big wedding. Jerrick throws a beach bash. Alpha realizes her true potential. Gabriel has a brush with fame.
