Paul Skenes made his debut and was it everything he wanted and more or did he wish the game had gone better. Meanwhile I had some fun this weekend and made a what if team that I share with you guys in today's episode. 

Paul Skenes has gotten his call and is set to make his MLB debut tomorrow. Alongside that we are talking about some small trades as well as the catcher's who have been moving up to the plate to steal strikes and why it can be risky as we look at the Contreras injury to talk about that. 

We've got a longggg episode here and it makes sense with it being this years first players of the month as we go over April and see who was the best of the best. We had some win streaks end with the Twins and A's and somewhat of a blockbuster trade already as Miami has shipped Luis Arraez off to San Diego and the question that circles the team now is who's next? 

Crazy week of baseball, bench clearing, bee delay, cat on the field, umps making bad calls... well that last one is pretty normal these days. As the first month of baseball comes to an end, we get started into the month of May in today's episode. 

Mexico City Series might have helped the Astros but only time will tell, meanwhile Ohtani was on a flight tat headed to Toronto this weekend and how about you Minnesota Twins and there new um home run celebration meat. All of this plus more in today's episode 

I don't know what's worse, the Houston Astros, the Chicago White Sox, or the umps this past week. Either way we are talking about all of that plus more as we get ready for the Mexico Series this weekend. 

We got some more in depth then usually pitching breakdowns on a pitcher that shouldn't be a starter and one who is off to a hot start in his MLB career, some teams are hot and some are cold as we get through another weekend of baseball. 

A nice week for some teams, a bad week for other teams. Isn't that the way the world works, balance is key. Astros and Twins need to take a nice hard look in the mirror and figure it out. D-Backs and Cubs play a fun series with a fun game and we had a couple of angry boys in Schumaker and Chapman. 

A fun weekend here as Andrew McCutchen hits his 300th career home run. Got a couple of bench clearings and some comments from Will Smith that ignited Jurickson Profar to have a moment in the series final game Sunday., plus much more baseball news for all of you. 

The Kansas City Royals are rolling right now coming off back to back sweeps, and have one 7 straight, meanwhile Baltimore is heading to the farm and bringing up the top prospect with them, Jackson Holliday makes his major league debut and should be a key piece in the Orioles team this year.  

We've got a nice fun long episode taking about the weekend that was. The Pirates get two walk off wins, Braves show dominance over Arizona, and the Rockies have one heck of a great home opener vs Tampa. Outside of the baseball we need to start looking all of these pitching injuries that are happening and need to wonder if the pitch clock is to blame at all. 

Wow, only took 5 days into the season before getting our first no-hitter from Ronel Blanco, and who knows maybe it's our last. The Marlins need to find a way to start winning and start winning soon as we end our first week of baseball here in 2024. 

OPENING DAY 2024. We are here and what a crazy wild weekend to start to season. So much to talk about, so many great moments and a fun first weekend of baseball. Looking forward to many more days like this and hopefully this was only that start to an amazing season ahead. 

The baseball season is just a mere 3 days away. So it's time to look at my predictions for the 2024 season. And for the first time ever, I won't be alone as I am joined by a good friend of mine. So sit back and relax and enjoy the last offseason episode before the regular season kicks off Thursday. 

We've got baseball from South Korea, we've got two big free agent signings and we've got Ohtani caught up in gambling allegations. Welp, two things there that sounds good and one not so much. Either way we are talking about the first two games of the 2024 season in the Seoul Series but ending it on a sour note talking about the situation Ohtani now finds himself in. 

10 days away from Opening Day, 3 days from the Seoul Series, baseball is so close to being back and we've still got some signings, big trades, plus some other things happening. Including two great players missing time with injury and a top prospect got suspended for violating the PED Policy. 

The Braves with all of their young talent and star players including the NL MVP Ronald Acuna got knocked out in the postseason by the Phillies for the second straight year, they made a bunch of trades including acquiring Sale in hopes of another division win and a longer playoff run

The Dodgers have gone for it with a crazy offseason that includes Ohtani, Yamamoto and Glasnow. With all of that money spent it's now time to see how good the Dodgers will be and if they can buy their way to a World Series ring or fall short in the playoffs again. 

The Phillies despite falling second to the Braves year after year always get the last laugh when it comes to playoffs. They have a great team again and will be trying to get first in the division this year. 

The Orioles and their young kids surprised everyone last year and took huge steps forward. The AL East will be another tough battle for the top but the Orioles are certainly going to try to repeat as AL East champs. 

The Rangers are entering 2024 as the World Series Champions for the first time in their franchises history. If you think they are content with one think again as it should be another strong year for them and staying healthy will be a key in doing so.

The Astros have been one of the best teams in baseball over the last few years, making it to the ALCS in the last 7 years. Although the last few seasons they've seen a more competitive division they are still primed for another great year with playoffs and an 8th straight trip to the ALCS on the mind.

The Blue Jays are entering the 2024 season with doubt and unanswered questions. There is no doubt the team on paper is one of the best with elite pitching. They just need to perform like they can and could be a powerful team that you wouldn't want to mess with. 

The Yankees have gone for it this year by trading for Juan Soto. In what was a very disappointing season, I'm sure the Yankees will stop at nothing to make playoffs this year, but more importantly get back to the world series for the first time since 2009

The D-Backs need to try and follow their crazy postseason run from last year. Their team got better but the Dodgers did also. The Diamondbacks have a great chance for another great year, as long as those top teams in the NL don't get in the way
