Message from the Mountain

I often believe that I am getting positive messages from Spirit affirming that I am in tune with my soul’s purpose, such as hearts of all sizes appearing at just the right time. I believe we all get messages for guidance in one form or another. The goal is to be on the lookout for them.   Support the show

This has been an enjoyable summer for me discovering the transplanted flowers in the Ormond gardens that are now starting to bloom, including several chive plants. I always enjoy meeting people that have been transplanted into our lives and discovering their gifts. Support the show

I spotted some movement on the side of the road ahead as we drove up to the Orchard. I pulled over, grabbed my camera, and a mother turkey and her half-grown chicks strolled into full view. I have learned, you never know what you will see in the walk of life. My goal is to be prepared. Support the show

The amount of rain we have had this summer has contributed to mushroom growth. I recently discovered a tiny splash of red color on the ground created by small mushrooms. They were unique, just as people who color life in ways that can be easily missed. Support the show

We recently erected a small sign at the Center, “Ormond Gardens”, as a way to officially recognize the work Derek has done. A lot of people are hesitant to be recognized for the positive “work” they are doing as part of their soul’s purpose. It is okay to own it. Support the show

One of the recent transplants into the Ormond Gardens has begun to blossom. It is called a common tansy, and it will bloom next year all summer. To me it is not common at all, but special. There are many “common” people who are actually very special. Support the show

I have a friend who legally changed her name to Sunshine, and she sets her intentions to sprinkle sunshine everywhere she goes. Her vehicle is covered with positive sayings and symbols. When we set our intentions to reflect love, we are all rays of that same sunshine. Support the show

The wild blueberry leaves have changed to their fall color. They may not be noticed in areas where they share the landscape with taller vegetation unless one pays attention to what is under their feet. We often miss life changes because we are not focused on the now. Support the show

I always seem to be in search of answers. Recently I photographed a plant on the edge of the trail, but I can’t identify it. I searched my wildflower books and the internet and still haven’t found it. I am also still on a quest to find my life purpose. The quest keeps my mind active. Support the show

As I made the turn onto the old dirt road, I noticed a single pink/red flower growing wild between the rocks. There used to be flowers planted there, but the roadside has been totally rearranged. It reminded me of positive acts planted from seeds years ago that are still flowering in different places. Support the show

At a convention recently a friend had a pocket full of hearts that she was giving out to others. I smiled and accepted one to add to my collection. I believe a heart-based moment helps to raise the energy of love and positivity in the world, and this is a good example. Support the show

There is a small painted rock nestled on top of the old stump at the top of the Lupine field, left there by someone as a gift for the fairies. Some people believe in their hearts that fairies are not figments of our imagination but are real. Are you a believer? Support the show

I am constantly amazed at the unique shapes that Nature creates, like the mushroom I discovered recently that looked like a flower. I am also constantly amazed at the uniqueness of people. Life shapes them in ways that, used positively, can shape others’ lives for the better. Support the show

The Canadian wildfires are having a visual effect on the mountain views here in New Hampshire. We have been living in a haze for days. A lot of people are living in a haze, either caused by themselves or others. At least we have the option of listening to our hearts and using love and gratitude to get a different view. Thanks to the vibrant yellow golden rod, we are now in the golden days of August as September looms on the horizon. It is time to feel grateful for positive adventures of summer and to heal negative ones. Support the show

The resurrection lilies are now blooming. They are a different type of lily, with no leaves on their stocks and beautiful blue flowers. They are usually one of the last lilies of the season. I love to meet people that are like these lilies, late bloomers with solid roots. Support the show

The small apples in the orchard are maturing nicely. I am not sure how edible they will be, but I enjoy watching them turn red. People have been developing different abilities over the summer that are maturing nicely and are ready to share as the season progresses. Support the show

The milkweed pods are just about full size and drying. Soon they will be ready to release their fiber seeds for next year. Their flowers feed the insects, including butterflies. I think of people who have allowed the seeds in their minds to form. Some of them will be released and others may not. Support the show

We have had a lot of hazy days this summer, due to humid weather and fires out west. A lot of people have been having mind haze where decision making is not easy. To clear the mind, take a moment and connect with your heart to consult with your team. Support the show

This time of year I keep my eyes open to discover different blooms in the Lupine Field, and there, all by itself, was a pink aster. Maybe the wind or birds helped sow it. It was a pleasant surprise, like special people who are different, and have a positive quality of life to share. Support the show

I haven’t had the energy this summer to clear the constantly advancing vegetation from the trail leading to the top of the Lupine Field. We can still find our way, and I know that it will soon be time to mow the field and the trail; also time to clear the way for the seasons ahead in other aspects of life. Support the show

The blackberry fruit is changing from red to a delicious black, indicating that it will be time to harvest soon. Blackberry bushes have very sharp prickers waiting to snag your clothes or flesh. Taking the risk can be worthwhile as is taking risks to succeed in other situations in life. Support the show

The sky was completely covered in clouds except for a round hole above my head. I imagined soaring through the opening and out beyond the Universe into the vast Cosmos beyond. For a few special moments I felt the peace and love waiting for the world to discover. Support the show

As August rolls along, the tall phlox are flowering. This year the pink ones, thanks to an abundance of rain, are especially brilliant. I am reminded of people as they mature. There is a point in their life when it is time to share the knowledge they have gained through their maturity. Support the show

Now that lupine season has finished, the field itself has more flower shows to enjoy. Currently, ragged robin is in full bloom. When we have completed a major event in life, there can a void unless we have goals beyond it. We can fill our down time with acts of kindness. Support the show
