ENTERING MY MAGIC WORLD 11.04.2025

When I go up the road to the Orchard, I enter the incredible energy of my magic world. Here all Time comes together, and the fears of the past and future are healed, knowing that I am not alone. We all have magical worlds, maybe in our minds, where we are not alone and are loved by the Source. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING 10.04.2025

As we approach the midpoint of April I have been anticipating warmer weather. Instead, winter returned. I chose to focus on its beauty. When things don’t work out the way we expect in life, I look for something beautiful in the situation. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

HIDDEN IN THE ROOTS 09.04.2025

When a mature tree is uprooted by the wind or snow or machinery, it is fascinating to discover what the roots have covered up. History is filled with finds from overgrown roots. People have fascinating finds hidden in their roots that may enlighten others if shared. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

FUTURE TREES 08.04.2025

The oak trees dropped a lot of acorns last fall and winter. Now they are food for wildlife and seed for future oak trees. If the land was cleared, there would be no trees to regenerate the land. If there were no acts of kindness, there would be no love in the future. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

IT ISN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER 07.04.2025

As much as I want winter to be over, it’s not over until the last of the snow has fallen, and that could be a month or more away. In life there are many things that we wish were over but have not ended yet. My goal is to find something positive every day, like lengthening daylight bringing summer closer. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

BLUE BIRDS 06.04.2025

BLUEBIRDS. After we had created the Lupine Field, it was suggested we include bird houses for bluebirds in our forestry plan. Our son built and installed some, and the bluebirds came. Just as we prepare and share the land for wildlife, when we do acts of kindness for people, we are incorporating forestry principles for all life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

FIELD OF MY DREAMS 05.04.2025

Recently I was able to visit the field of my dreams for the first time this spring. I thought back to when the field was just woods and the different processes it has been through. Soon it will become a beautiful Lupine Field where I still dream of a positive future. As long as my intentions are for the greater good, I know these dreams are already a reality for the future. www.michaelhathaway.com...

MUD SEASON 04.04.2025

The time has come to close the upper trail parking lot for mud season. It seems like this event is getting longer each year with the ups and downs of the weather. In life there are more ups and downs. Just as we make adjustments to the mud season, we can make adjustments in life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

REPURPOSING 03.04.2025

Years ago, we salvaged some ramps from portable classrooms at the local school and eventually used one of them to make a bridge over the drainage “ditch” that goes through the Ormond Gardens to keep the spring runoff away from the Center’s foundation. We have a lot of thoughts in our minds, some that may be repurposed for current positive actions. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain...

THE WINDS OF MARCH LINGER ON 02.04.2025

A small flock of turkeys held a meeting on the front lawn as the winds of March still linger. Just like life, the seasons have a lot of ups and downs. When we get more snow, the turkeys come back for feed and then disappear again, like some people who disappear and then come back again. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

APRIL FOOLS 01.04.2025

I wonder if April is going to fool us into thinking spring has really arrived, or will winter come back again? I also wonder if we fool ourselves about our life purpose. Are we fooling our ego that strives for recognition, or are we following our soul’s purpose of positive acts of kindness to others? www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

SLIPPERY SLOPES 31.03.2025

The last few days of March have been wet snow turning to icy rain creating a very slippery slope on the driveway. It was wise to just stay put. I think of the times in life when we are tempted to venture onto slippery slopes, but our intuition tells us not to. Intuition is something to include in our journey of life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

A MOSSY HEART 30.03.2025

As I was admiring some birch trees, I saw a mossy heart on the bark of one of them. To me, a heart shape is a sign that I am not alone. I believe we all get signs that appear in different forms, and yours may be totally different from mine. It is your choice to connect with them or not. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THOUGHTS ON A RED BIRCH 29.03.2025

The birch trees along our driveway appear to have a lot of red in their bark. We have white, yellow, and grey birches, and the red birch will change color to white as the new bark matures. It reminds me of people who are changing for the better, but to others may appear different as they connect with their true selves. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

SPECIAL MOMENTS 28.03.2025

Recently, someone spotted a very unique, textured stone in the parking lot. They paused, picked it up, and brought it into the Center. It was a special moment that could easily have been missed. Awareness helps us appreciate special moments all the time. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

ALWAYS DONE AND NEVER FINISHED 27.03.2025

It seems my life is the story of working on something until I can’t do it any better at that moment, so I am always done and never finished. That is the story of winter this year. Just when we think it is over, it comes back. At least in life, we can set things aside and perhaps go back to them later. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

SILVER LININGS 26.03.2025

Just as the winter season was about over, we got hit with a snowstorm dropping six inches of new powder on the mountainside. At the same time, despite the inconvenience, there is a silver lining to this, often called “poor man’s fertilizer”. The earth needs more moisture. Life has a lot of unwanted situations that just may have silver linings to them. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mount...

CHANGING COLOR 25.03.2025

I have noticed that in the winter male yellow finches look nearly the same as the females. Now they are beginning to change color into their brilliant yellow, just in time for the mating season. In life, many people live a colorless existence without heart-based compassion. This is a wonderful time of year to regain the colors of life, discovering them again for the first time. www.michaelhathaway...

A WARM FUZZY FEELING 24.03.2025

When I find pussy willow buds in the early spring, I get a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart that warmer days are on the way. Warm fuzzy feelings happen daily for me whenever I experience something positive that touches my heart. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

HANGING ON 23.03.2025

As we approach the spring growing season most of the trees appear ready to produce new leaf buds. The lone exception here in the mountains is the beech trees that are the last to release their old leaves. A lot of people have old habits that hang on beyond their time. This is a wonderful time of the year to release them. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

GRATEFUL FOR ROBINS 22.03.2025

I recently spotted the first robin of the spring on our front lawn. It is the completion of another seasonal ritual for me, and my heart is so grateful for its return. There are so many moments in life when nature or people can fill our hearts with positivity, providing hope for the seasons ahead. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

TAKING IN THE MOMENT 21.03.2025

I often carry a camera with me when I am outside to have ready in case something captures my attention. It is my way of pausing and taking in the moment. At the same time, I take a breath and feel gratitude in my heart. In the rush of life, it is easy to miss these precious moments. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

IT WAS A LONG WINTER 20.03.2025

Finally, the calendar says Spring. It was a long winter for me, and now, even though we may have more snow, the worst of the cold is behind us. Sometimes life seems to move so slowly and sometimes it moves rapidly. For me the goal is to find something I am grateful for, no matter what the pace. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THE RUSH IS ON 19.03.2025

The little brook that flows by my windows is now filled with the melting snows of winter and is rushing onward towards the great ocean beyond. I can imagine the experiences a drop of water is having on its journey. I am reminded that each of our souls is on a journey to gain life experiences until we are ready to join the Source of all. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the...

CHIPPING AWAY 18.03.2025

Another sign of spring is the chipmunk sticking its head up in the center of our millstone and chipping away. The warmer weather is chipping away at the snow cover and people always have the opportunity to chip away at accomplishments rather than taking on too much at once. Little accomplishments lead to bigger ones. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
