FINDING A ROUTINE 06.06.2025 1:38
I have several routines that I intend to follow during the year that help me connect heart-based gratitude and positivity. Right now, I like to spend a little time each day wandering around the Center’s grounds and enjoying the flowers like the rhododendrons. Sometimes our routines get interrupted, and we feel off balance until we find the connection again. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the...
THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER 05.06.2025 1:36
I have been waiting a year for the lupine to bloom again. This next week I will visit the field as often as I can and am grateful to share it with others. We wait for many things in life, and sometimes they come and go without us noticing them. I have learned to set my intentions to be aware of special moments when they are happening. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the s...
JUNE IS BUSTING OUT ALL OVER 04.06.2025 1:30
JUNE IS BUSTING OUT ALL OVER. June 1st is often considered to be the first day of summer. Nature has come to life and so too has the opportunity to manifest winter dreams. Now is the time to be aware of each day with gratitude, so when fall comes, you won’t wonder where summer went. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
FINDING A HOME 04.06.2025 1:47
I discovered an old decaying tree stump with Canadian Mayflowers growing in it. Nature had helped find a home for these small wildflowers. People with positive outlooks can usually find a home for their acts of kindness that bring joy to others. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
A SPECIAL DISCOVERY 03.06.2025 1:48
We had a ladder propped up on the railing to the Center and the other day when it was moved, we discovered a very special surprise growing under where it had been. It was one of our favorite wildflowers only a few feet from the building. Every day can have a special surprise for us when we set our intentions for our next special discovery. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support...
AN OLD FASHIONED SHRUB 02.06.2025 1:59
Our bridal wreath is in bloom. It came from my parents’ home which was brought there by a great aunt from her old homestead. I can imagine an old-fashioned wedding with bridal wreaths decorating the ceremony. There are still old-fashioned values that can create a sense of positivity in our lives. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
Time to Move Again 31.05.2025 1:56
Years ago, I moved a small azalea from our house to the Center in a place that I thought was best at the time. Now with the focus on the Ormond Gardens, I feel it best to move it again. Some people change locations many times, often running away from situations that follow them, while others follow their hearts and start fresh again. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the sh...
EYE CATCHING 30.05.2025 1:45
A tiny flash of blue caught my eye as I wandered about the Ormond Gardens. I noted several ground covers that in time will cover the soil with a beautiful blanket. Most people have something about them that is eye catching to me that I want to learn about. Life is all about discovery and sharing. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
WATCHING THE WEATHER 29.05.2025 1:56
I must admit that I am a weather watcher. Every time I try to listen to a forecast my mind drifts on to my inner thoughts. Actually, it is one of my best ways to experience self-hypnosis. So, I prepare for the weather the best I can by keeping an eye on it. I do the same thing with life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
I WISHED FOR AN IRIS 28.05.2025 1:37
I had been thinking about how great it would be to have some iris plants in the Ormond Gardens at the Center, and I could hardly believe my eyes when I found one in full bloom. Derek had planted it last fall. Wishes can come true, especially when they come through your heart. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
SIGNS OF THE TIMES 27.05.2025 1:48
Over the years we have used different material to make signs to help guide people visiting the land. Now we have found the best ones yet. People have signs guiding them through life if they take the time to recognize and act on them. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
MEMORIAL DAY MEMORIES 26.05.2025 1:53
Lilacs blooming on Memorial Day bring back special memories for me from my youth when I marched in the hometown parade carrying a small flag to decorate a veteran’s grave. Afterwards, lilacs would be placed in the lake on the edge of the cemetery, a firing squad would fire three times. and taps would be played. It still lingers in my mind. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support...
NATURE'S ROYALTY 25.05.2025 1:35
I consider the lady slipper to be nature’s royal flower. There are some people who want to be treated like royalty in a world where they are not. I wonder if they were born with a royal memory from the past. I think one can keep a royal spirit without the expectation to be treated that way in this life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
LIVING WITH NATURE 24.05.2025 1:56
When we built our home years ago there were only a few houses on the road. Nature was and still is all around us. We have learned to adapt to the weather and the wild animals. Wherever we live, we also need to adapt to human nature to allow us to be in harmony with our soul’s purpose. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
THE PERFECT SNOWBALL 24.05.2025 1:39
The viburnum (or snowball bush) at the Center is in full bloom and fits perfectly into a corner of the Ormond Gardens. It reminds me of people that are now putting their life experiences to good use as they honor love and gratitude in their hearts to add to their garden of life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
NOT THE COMMON VARIETY 22.05.2025 1:29
Years ago, my sister gave me some not-so-common pink lilies-of-the-valley that have spread into a beautiful patch. I think of people that are not so common and are often misunderstood or bullied. They usually have special abilities once others take the time to know and understand them. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
FULL UP 21.05.2025 1:31
Several years ago, a friend gave us some flowering water plants for the little frog pond at the Center, and now they have spread to the point that the surface is filled up with blooms. There is no room for any more. Fortunately, even though our hearts may be full of gratitude, there is always room to receive and share with others. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
THE LITTLE CRABAPPLE TREE 20.05.2025 1:19
Last fall we were given a crabapple tree to place in the Ormond Gardens at the Center. It not only survived the harsh winter, but it is also flowering this spring. It has inspired more flowering shrubs such as forsythias and mock orange to be planted on the bank for future beauty. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
THE INVASION OF THE LILIES 19.05.2025 1:50
The lilies of the valley are in bloom. We now have hundreds of them spread across a portion of our lawn. You could call it a welcome invasion by a small fragrant plant that began with only a few. Kindness can spread as a friendly invasion from a simple beginning to hundreds of people. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
UNFORGETTABLE 18.05.2025 1:16
Part of our yard is now a carpet of blue forget-me-nots. They all came from a few plants’ cast-away seeds several years ago. People like you, out of the kindness of your heart, create unforgettable acts that continue to grow as they cast seeds of love each year. Thank you! www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
FINDING A HOME 17.05.2025 1:47
A few years ago I discovered a couple of small flowering trees at the lower edge of the Lupine Field that I believe to be English Hawthorns. I’m not sure how the seeds found a home there, but they are welcome. Many people are looking for homes. Possibly the first step is to find room in one’s soul for a heart filled with love and gratitude. That may lead to manifesting the right place to lay down...
GROWING WILD 16.05.2025 2:01
Every year there are a few rhodora wild shrubs that produce beautiful pink flowers close to the old cemetery. They are so small that some years I miss seeing them, but not this year. I have no idea how long they have been there. I am reminded of thoughts that grow wild. Some are positive and probably a lot of them are negative. Sometime even plants growing wild need to be pruned back in order to g...
CREEPING ALONG 15.05.2025 1:26
Several years ago we planted a few ground phlox, and over time they have spread, slowly creeping along until now when we enjoy a beautiful blanket of blue in May. Acts of kindness, when continued over time, can have the same positive effect on people’s environment. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
HOW DO YOU MAKE A WISE CHOICE? 14.05.2025 2:01
A phoebe has decided to build its nest on the light at the freshly painted entrance to the Center. I am not sure if that was a wise decision. I will try not to disrupt it. People often make life decisions from fear or passion without taking the time to decide if it was wise or not. It is good to step back to consider the potential outcome of the choice. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mou...
BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR 13.05.2025 1:44
When the periwinkle vines with their blue flowers were first planted at the base of a stone retaining wall, I thought they were annuals, but they come back and continue to spread every year. We develop habits, both positive and negative, that come back at specific times, every year. We can change the negative ones and embrace the positive ones and share them with others. www.michaelhathaway.com/me...
