As we continue our study of Jonah, we look at the references used from his story in the Messianic writings and how the Jonah account is used in the context of Yom Kippur

This week we look at the book of Jonah. We discuss the nature of the story and how it appears to be incomplete. We look at the mercy of HaShem and how His judgment os always perfect.

In our final study on Obadiah we discuss how Rome is the spiritual Edom. We also look at the attitiude of the Nations toward Israel and how Replacement Theology has caused them to misread the purposes of G_D toward Israel.

This week we look at the comparison of Obadiah with Jeremiah 49. We discuss some of the history of the Edomites and begin to look at the prophetic nature of Obadiah and its place both historically and prophetically.

This week we continue to look at the background of the conflict between Israel and Edom. We look at the history of Herod and his motivation to destroy Messiah.

This week we begin to look at the book of the prophet Obadiah. To understand this book properly, we need to discover more about the relationship between Jacob and Esau. We discuss the amazing links through the names of Jacob and Esau and how their reconciliation must take place.

This week as it was Yom Kippur, we take an early look at the prophet Jonah. We discover what the Sages say of him and how he connects with Mashiach in the story of Noah and the gospels.

As we enter the 10 days of Awe, we discuss the Shabbat of Return and what that means to the nations. We look at the story of Gedaliah and the events surrounding his assassination and how it informs our behaviour today.

This week we discuss the importance of Rosh HaShanah. We discuss the three aspects of sovereignty, remembrance and the cycles of prayer. We also look at how judgement is not to be simply understood as an expectation of punishment.

This week we conclude our study of the book of Amos. We discuss the enduring aspect of the fifth vision of Amos describing the reestablishment of Israel as a nation and how that impacts us today.

This week we look at the 4th Vision where we see the declaration of judgment over the northern kingdom. We the discuss the metaphor of the summer fruit and its hidden meaning. We also look at the biblical timeline of the judgments that took place and how they impact us today.

This week we continue to look at the five visions of Amos. We discuss visions 2 & 3 and the connections with the passage of Matthew 24 relating to the "times of Noah".

This week we begin to look at the final three chapters of Amos which contain the 5 Visions. We discuss the importance of the number 5 in Hebraic thinking and the first vision. We consider its prophetic implications as we see things unfolding and moving toward the Messianic Kingdom.

This week we look Amos 6. This is not the recording of the Friday evening study. We discuss some of the verses in Amos 5 and the continuing impact of the idolatry of Israel and what it is rooted in. We also discuss how these issues affect us today.

This week we discuss the similarities of the present day "church" and the kingdom of Israel in the form of the 10 northern tribes. We discuss the misinterpretation of Amos and how it has fuelled replacement theology and supercessionism and ulitmately anti-semitism. We also look at similarities of this message with the letter to the congregation of Laodicea.

This week we examine chapter 4 and discuss the feminine nature of Israel as the wife of HaShem and what this teaches us.

This week we discuss how the Amos's words are directed at the whole of Israel and the principle of cause and effect, not just in the time of Amos for us in the world today. We discuss the principles that underlie apostasy and replacement theology and how they permeate the believing community and the world today.

This week we look at the judgments over Judah and Israel. We discuss the relationship of these passages with Mark 12 in the gospels and how they relate to Judah and Joseph

This week we begin to look at the nations that Amos is speaking to. We discuss the reasons behind the judgments and how they apply to some of the current affairs we see today.

This week we begin our study of the prophet Amos. We discuss how he differs from the prophets Hosea and Joel; who his message is directed and how it applies to us today.

In our final study of Joel we discuss how we interpret time when reading biblical prophecy and how this impacts understanding the difference between the battle of Har Meggido and the final judgement in the Valley of Jehoshophat

This week we look at the final part of Joel 2 which is quoted by the apostle Peter in Acts 2. We consider why this is a separate chapter in Tanach and ask why Peter quotes this scripture.

This week we look at the references to early and late rain and their prophetic relevance to the Messiah revealing His character role. We also discover how some of the writings in Talmud confirm the fulfillment of this in the character of Yeshua of Nazareth.

This week we discuss the opening verses of Joel 2. We discuss the purpose of blowing the shofar and how these verses resonate and echo from the giving of the Torah at Sinai, through the days of Shavuot in the Apostolic writings and to the end of the age in the apocalypse of John.
