We say that we trust God. Then why is it such a struggle for us to trust his timing? Isn’t that a part of truly trusting Him? Why do we struggle so much when things don’t go according to our timing? What do we do while we are waiting?

Are we truly aware of what God is doing around us? If we do see what He is doing are we ready to react and be obedient to what it is that He’s trying to do through us. When it comes to the Gospel, it’s not just what God wants to do in your life, but what God wants to do through your life! But, how do we live ready to move according to His Spirit?

In our Moments of Desperation, that we learn that God replaces our Desperation with Peace and that leads us to Worship Him. This gives us Confidence and Hope in the knowledge that there’s nothing that’s too big for God!

Sometimes we all need re-assurance of God’s presence, especially when facing an uncertain future. Jeremiah 32:17 tells us, “O Lord GOD, with your great power you made the earth and sky. There is nothing too hard for you to do.” It can be hard to recognize God’s greatness when we face various battles and a shaky future. It can also be hard to see the miracles that are happening during those things....

We continue our message “What’s Your Achilles Heel?” and continue to focus on pride. It can be so destructive in our lives but what are the casualties of pride? How does it impact our relationships? How can we overcome our pride?

Dr. Joe Beam wraps up our Spiritual Warfare message talking about what God has given us that will help us overcome the darkness that the enemy will try to use to take us off God’s plan for our life.

We all have an Achilles Heel, that thing that no matter how good we are that will take us down. Of course, at the root of every problem is the Achilles of Pride. It deceives us into believing that we are better than we are and that we don’t need God. How do we overcome pride? How do we recognize it operating in our lives?

As Christians, it can be so easy to get wrapped up in the guilt and shame of our past. We walk around acting like damaged goods and take in the voice of the accuser more than we do what Jesus did for us, which is set us free from guilt and shame by his grace and mercy. How do we walk in this forgiveness?

Sometimes life can get so busy that we miss what is happening to us. Before we know it we are in a mess and the enemy tries to get our thoughts dwelling on things that take us away from what God has for us. How do we take those captives and overcome the evil of stinkin’ thinkin’??

Identity is very important. As Christians, we need to remember "whose we are" in order to walk in our true identity. Otherwise, this world and the enemy will do all that they can to identify us. Our guest speaker Anthony Whitley gives a great message to help us find our true identity in God.

Our thoughts can take us down the path of conviction and repentance or down the path of condemnation and cause us to take our eyes off Jesus and instead focus on what the enemy desires.  This is a trap and can cause us to live a miserable life away from the seat at the table that God desires to give us.  How do we effectively overcome this?

God set a place for us at the table in the presence of our enemies.  But our image of God and who He is ends up not being in line with who He truly is.  As a result, we end up surrendering our seat at the table to the enemy because we end up believing Satan’s lies.  How do we combat this?  Do we truly know who God is and the fullness of His power and authority in our lives?

Jesus knew it was impossible to live without constantly being tempted by Satan’s bait.  That’s why we need to learn how to deal with Satan’s trap.  Jesus wanted us to learn that forgiveness is the Master’s key to freedom which is the way to escape the trap the enemy puts before us.  

Pride is destructive, difficult to detect, and Proverbs tells us that the higher you lift yourself up in pride, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace.  In other words, the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.  It’s very easy to become obsessed with ourselves but how do we avoid the trap of pride in a culture filled with “selfies and self-help?”

The bait of Revenge - It’s right to want justice, but it’s wrong to want to take revenge. This seems contradictory in our natural minds. We often think, “If I don’t make it right… who will?”. How do we approach this change in mindset and what does Jesus have to say about it?
