What if the secret to making a difference in someone’s life was really so simple that it seemed insignificant? Would you be willing to try it, even if you didn’t think it could possibly make any difference?  Would you be willing to try it, even if you didn’t understand why it worked… One-Word-at-a-Time?

Moms know there are days when you wonder if you’ve made a difference in someone’s life. God will work THROUGH US, but first He needs to work IN US, one interruption at a time!  That’s why we want to LEARN more, LOVE more, & LOOK more like Jesus.

Compassion isn’t measured by how you FEEL, but by what you DO. The Feeling of Compassion is God’s Call to Action… One story at a time

It’s easy to get caught up in the everyday stuff of life, until eventually we begin to wonder: “Does my life matter?” Jesus shows us the best way to make a difference is ‘one-at-a-time’.

We believe the story of Jesus is true…  He lived and died, trusting in the love of God & believing He would raise him from death to live again. We’re convinced God offers that same Redeemed Life to all who are willing to trust Him… That’s why we want to LEARN more, LOVE more, & LOOK more like Jesus

Ps.51:17 CSB The sacrifice that pleases God is a broken spirit. He will not despise a broken and humbled heart.  We want God’s Blessing on our Life… But what if the Cost of His Blessing is our own Brokenness? Is that a price we’re willing to pay?

Most of our prayers tend to be pretty “Safe Prayers." We will ask God to bless us, protect us, forgive us, and help us.  This is because real ‘Life-Changing’ prayers can be pretty intimidating as it requires transparency with God. If you keep on “Praying it Safe” how will that help you grow spiritually to live the ways of God?

The only thing more unsafe than asking God to speak to you… is continuing to live your life in His silence!

We believe in God… and we believe Jesus came FROM God… to SHOW us God. We’re willing to TRUST HIS WORD when He says PRAYER brings us into the very PRESENCE of God.  But when you pray, are you just “praying it safe”?

So often our prayers end up being about ourselves and the things that are impacting us.  But is this really GrownUp Prayers?  What did Jesus tell us when it comes to Grownup Prayers?

We may have grown up Praying but our prayers never grew up with us. Prayer ends up being words we memorized. That's why we need Jesus to teach us how to pray.

One of the ways we learn is by listening to others and practicing what we've heard from them. If we listen to Jesus we will hear how He teaches us the grown-up way to pray.

Over the past 22 months, many of the dreams people had were challenged at the least and at the worst dismantled. Paul tells the Christians in Ephesus to keep dreaming because the God we serve is bigger than any obstacle the world can put in front of us.

Nothing brings a smile to your face more than a child's bedtime prayers. But when life forces us to grow up, shouldn't our prayers reflect a grown-up faith? That's why the disciples asked Jesus, "teach us to pray."

Why in the World would Jesus become one of us, to live among us?  He came to communicate and demonstrate what God is really like and to teach us and show us that everyone was created equal by God.  We wrap up our series today with the final reason, which was to reset the priority of people over religion.

The premise of Matthew, Mark, and Luke is summarized by John in 1:14… The Word became flesh and lived among us…Why in the World would God become one of us? He came to teach what God is really like and that everyone deserves respect because of our God-given Equality.

Jesus teaches us three things about the Father... God displays his power in our pain, God extends mercy to imperfect people, God takes a personal interest in us as individuals. Isaiah 9:6 refers to Jesus as our “Prince of Peace,” but what does that mean? We need Christmas to regain that sense of Peace that only Jesus can bring to us. How is He our Prince of Peace? What do we need to do to gain that peace that is so vital to us. We take a good look at these characteristics during part four of our message, “We Need Christmas.”

We want to trust God, but that can be a challenge sometimes.  How can Christmas help us to truly trust who He is?  When we hear how the Christmas story describes WHO he is!  We take some time to get to know who God is through the Christmas story to help our trust in Him truly grow.

Sometimes we forget when God shows up. Eventually, we cry out for God to show up and rescue us. When God finally shows up, He does what we could never do on our own. Out of gratitude, we commit to a life of obedience to God. Then compromise tries to slip in because it’s “easier”. This causes God to step aside and allow people to receive the consequences.
