The arc, having been captured is passed around foreign lands causing death among them while Samuel becomes Israel's spiritual guide and the arc is returned to Israel.  Jesus tells his disciples there's going to be a tribulation, I am going to return, Be Ready!

God calls Samuel and Samuel obediently answers, giving the prophetic word of God to Eli about the end of his house in Israel.  The arc of the covenant is captured by the Philistines.

Hannah, who is barren dedicates her son Samuel to the Lord, as God provided the cry of her heart.  Samuel lives and ministers to Eli the priest.  Jesus teaches of things to come and His prophetic return warning...Be Alert!  Look for these signs.

Boaz redeems Ruth and marries her, brings joy back to Naomi through their child and the line of David begins.

Judges 21, Ruth 1, Luke 21 07.05.2022

Israel seeks a way to save the tribe of Benjamin after the slaughter of all the men due to the great immorality that crept in.  Naomi becomes a bitter widow yet Ruth remains loyal to her.  Jesus explains what's to come for Jerusalem and the rest of the world. 

Judges 20, Luke 20 06.05.2022

The Levite and his concubine caused a major battle, Gibeah and the Benjamites are slaughtered.   Spies, Pharisees and Sadducees attempt to trick Jesus into making some statement where they can turn Him over to the authorities. 

Judges 18-19 05.05.2022

The tribe of Dan, unhappy with the land God gave them as an inheritance, take a land not their own and worship foreign gods there.  Also, the sad story of Levite's concubine degraded.

Judges 16-17, Matthew 23 04.05.2022

Sampson, weak in morals is seduced by Delilah to his destruction.  Micah, the household Idol and the young Levite.  Jesus rebukes the religious leaders as hypocrites for their self serving and self glorification.

Judges 12-15 03.05.2022

Sampson's life and the nazarite vow. He is a military deliverer assigned by God but he draws closer to the flesh than to the Lord.

Judges 11, Mark 12 02.05.2022

God raises up Jephthah, the ninth judge who makes a terrible vow.  Jesus relates the parable of the vineyard to Himself, welcome the servants, welcome the son, but instead they kill him.  

Judges 9-10 01.05.2022

After Gideon's death, Abimelech, tying to amass power conspires against Israel so he can rule Shechem.  Oppression by the Philistines and the Amorites after Abimelech's death as Israel in following him turned away from God. 

Judges 8, Matthew 22 30.04.2022

Gideon kills two leaders of Succoth and brings peace to Israel once again but afterwards the Israelites turn from God.  Jesus gives the people a bible study on God's plan all along to receive Him as their Messiah through the parable of the wedding feast.  

Judges 6-7 29.04.2022

God sends Gideon to deliver Israel from the Mediates, cutting down the altar of Baal and the Asherah and uses 300 men to deceive them to their destruction.

Judges 4-5, John 12 28.04.2022

The second judge, Deborah, along with another woman, Jael, are used to route the enemy.  Mary anoints Jesus' feet as He foretells of His coming death, as the struggle with the Pharisees continues and the peoples hearts are blinded to the reality of His mission. 

Judges 2-3 27.04.2022

Joshua dies and the new generation, not knowing God, are dominated and controlled by foreign gods until they cry out to God as a result of their own sin. God appoints a judge with the Spirit upon him to lead and deliver them in HIs mercy.  

Judges 1, Mark 11 26.04.2022

As the Israelites conquered the lands, without Joshua as their guide they become more disobedient to God's instructions to cleanse the land of all the Canaanites.  Upon Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem His authority is questioned, He speaks perfect wisdom and truth as He cleans house and prepares it for the perfect sacrifice.

Joshua 23-24, Luke 19 25.04.2022

Just before Joshua dies he reviews Israel's history with them and again warns to serve no other gods.  Jesus shares the parable of the Mines and good servants and Zacchaeus.  

Joshua 21-22 24.04.2022

The allotment of 48 cities for the Levites.  The tribes beyond the Jordan return to the land of their possession and build an offensive altar.

Joshua 18-20 23.04.2022

The allotment of the land is assigned to each tribe and cities of refuge are designated.

Joshua 16-17, Matthew 21 22.04.2022

The history of how the tribes took or didn't take their lands.  Jesus wept as He entered Jerusalem recognizing that the people had no idea who was actually entering Jerusalem, Their True King.  Parables follow showing those who will or won't choose to obey and recognize, believe, or reject The King. 

Joshua 13-15 21.04.2022

An everlasting title deed of inheritance as the land of Canaan is divided among all the tribes, the promise of God answering their prayers made in Egypt.  Caleb takes on more Giants by faith at 85 years old.  

Joshua 11-12, Matthew 20 20.04.2022

As a wandering group of Jewish slaves empowered by God, Israel defeats thirty one established armies and their kings. Jesus heals the blind man and shares the principle of grace and mercy to all generously given beyond earning and duration of devotion to Him in the story of the landowner.

Joshua 9-10 19.04.2022

The conquest of Israel and the deception of the Gibeonites.  The long day of Joshua.  

Joshua 8, Mark 10 18.04.2022

Israel, returning to a spirit filled life have a great victory in Ai after their earlier defeat due to Achan's lustful greed.  Jesus teaches through parables of yielding hearts in faith to God and testifies of His coming death. 

Joshua 6-7, Matthew 19 17.04.2022

Israel’s successful conquest of Jericho by the hand of God followed by Israel’s defeat at Ai due to the sin of one man. Jesus teaches the parables concerning divorce, little children and the dangers of wealth.
