Joshua leads Israel and the Ark to the miracle of the crossing of the Jordan, a step in Faith and a memorial built.

Israel is called to fully embrace the Lord their God as their strong fortress as they prepare to enter the Land of their inheritance. The story begins of Joshua, Rahab and the spies of Israel crossing into the land and the offering of salvation.

 Moses presents the blessings for each tribe of Israel before his death and is shown the entire promised land by God before his hidden burial at Mt Nebo.

God foretells Moses’ death on Mt. Nebo, the future harlotry of the sons of Israel and gives them a song of remembrance to sing yearly. Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead angering the chief priests and Pharisees, begining the process of His imminent crucifixion.  Jesus IS the resurrection. 

The heart of Father God being poured out through Mose, telling the entire nation of Israel to "Choose Life that you may live", as He sees all of the choices they're about to make laying before Him.   

Once across the Jordan. they are to be divided into two camps, one at Mt. Ebal reading immeasurable blessings the other on Mt. Gerizim reading unfathomable curses as a warning, depending on their faithfulness and dependence on God.  The 10 lepers are cleansed and Jesus talks to them and us about being ready for His eminent return. 

God calls the new generation of Israel after they cross the Jordan to set up an altar of large stones as a reminder of all the statutes and commandments He has laid out to them and of all He has done and will do for them as beneficiaries of their forefathers.  

Continued Laws of hygiene, divorce, property rights and equitable treatment of all laid before them.  The pleading of the man in Hades to Abraham... they won't even listen to someone who rises from the dead, Jesus rose and seeing wasn't believing, the people that believed were the ones that believed by faith. 

God's continued moral, familial, and neighborly laws provided for protection before they enter the land.  Cursed is anyone that hangs upon a tree before the age of grace provided through Jesus The Christ taking the curse upon Himself.  

The instruction continues for how they were to live in the land, providing cities of refuge to manslayers until trial and that in warfare to go out in complete reliance and trust in God's faithfulness to them.  

Regulations about feasts, administration of justice and divination that before they enter the land.  To listen to the priests and when they decide they want a king he must follow Me.  The dinner guests who respond come to the feast, as Jesus' dinner guests who respond to His invitation will join Him as His bride at the wedding feast in heaven.

Guidance is given concerning clean and unclean animals for food along with how to care for the poor and the freeing of slaves.  Jesus gives a direct call to repent as all sin is alike, pointing out hypocrisy in many forms.   

God's strict commands to the new generation warning idols and any pagan or cultic practices.  They are called to respect the lifeblood of any sacrifice for the tabernacle and live near it. 

Moses presented a blessing and a curse as he continues recounting Israel's journey with the warning, fear the Lord your God, and love Him, and serve the Lord your God with all your heart and Keep His commandments and be blessed.

Moses continued the recounting of all God did to care for Israel and their repeated rebellion and sin. Be ready, don’t store up on earth but look ahead to heaven Now. Seek first the kingdom of God and be about the Father’s business.

God offers warning to this new generation against taking other gods before Him and promises them untold blessing and protection if they but Love the Lord their God with all their heart and follow Him only.

To the new generation preparing to enter the Promised Land God repeats The 10 Commandments that they might succeed. Jesus teaches by Faith and heart is eternal life available, sends out the 70 without Him and teaches Martha the importance of sitting at His feet and listening, busyness has its time.
