David takes responsibility for his own sin and asks God for help.  David and the sons of Korah's admonition of their depression and how they're dwelling on it, yet David writes glorifying God saying all the He's done for him.  

David settles an account against Saul for the Gibeonites.  David prays for the protection from the wicked.  Steven gives the historic testimony of Israel and cries out to the Lord while being martyered for saying he saw Jesus seated beside God.   

David is reestablished as king and Joab councils him for lamenting over Absalom's death, thereby shaming the same men who fought loyally for his return.  Sheba leads a revolt against David and Amasa is murdered.

Absalom chases after David as the new king but comrades bring news of his plots.  Absalom becomes entangled and is killed, all consequences of David's sin.  Ananias & Sapphira die by God's hand.  Jealousy causes Peter and the apostles to be imprisoned.  

Psalms of David written possibly while running from Absalom, being forced to fully trust the Lord God.  With David in a strategic retreat more intrigue ensues as Absalom takes over as king and the prophecy Nathan gave David as a judgment by God plays out.  

Intrigue after a coup by Absalom with David fleeing Jerusalem.  Psalms of David trusting God's will to either return him to leadership of Jerusalem or not.  Peter and John are imprisoned for disobeying orders to stop testifying to all they had witnessed with Jesus.  

Tamar is violated by Amnon and Absalom takes revenge.  David sends Absalom away and Joab manipulates his return and reuniting with David.

As David was faced with the heavy burden of his sin against the Lord, David's psalms of repentance and thanking God for forgiveness. A prayer for Jerusalem also.  God heals a lame man, Peter gives a second sermon of the gospel of Jesus in the temple, of sin and separation from God.  

David does evil in the sight of the Lord and Nathan rebukes him for it.  God pronounces retribution for his actions foretelling war all of David's life, causing David to repents before the Lord.  The Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples causing a crowd to gather and Peter addresses the crowd with many thousands being baptized.   

David asks for the justice of God. Psalms praising God for his answer to prayers, of suffering and prophecy of Jesus and words He spoke and quoted on the cross from the Psalm.

Due to David's messengers being humiliated and abused by the Ammonites his army defeated both they and the Arameans.  Enemies roar, trust in the Lord.  Jesus commanded his disciples to gather together in Jerusalem and wait for what the Father promised and ascended before them. The disciples selected a 12th apostle to replace Judas.  

David praying for blessings for Israel.  By God's work all things exist, Praise to the Creator & Preserver.  Guard against being hardhearted .  David triumphs over his main enemies as established king.  Jesus appears at the Sea of Galilee and teaches that our times are in His hands.  

With the Spirit's lens of grace and love the history of all the beautiful things the Lord had done for Israel is laid out.  God's promise of the permanence of David's lineage forever.  The reverent recounting of David's moving the ark to Jerusalem as he is established on his throne after Saul died. 

David's throne will be established forever, God reigns eternal praise Him, worship Him as He's the righteous judge. He has made us stand with the upright before Him, His lovingkindness lives forever.  Jesus resurrects on the third day and angels announce Him. He walks and eats with the disciples and the women and blesses them as He's carried up to heaven.  

David has the Ark transported to Jerusalem but now seeing God's power he treats the Ark with respect and honor as God had instructed Moses.  The righteous and the wicked are contrasted.  Jesus resurrects and teaches to live by faith not by sight giving instructions to his disciples to go make disciples to the ends earth before he ascends promising that He is always with us, even to the end of the...

God is a loving God, even in distress we are to trust Him to see us through.  David, striving to be a Godly King runs into trouble transporting the Ark of the Covenant.  He also inquires of God if he is to go to battle with the Philistines as his first test of being king when they raid a territory of Israel, and God gives instruction.
