The Shelby Whippets boys basketball team made history on Saturday, as they beat #1 Lutheran West, 55-46, to win their 1st ever Regional Championship in school history.  Shelby is headed to Dayton to play in the Division II State Final Four. Aaron Hines caught up with Shelby coach, Greg Gallaway, following the Whippets Regional Semi-Final win, 59-50, over Lima Shawnee.  Shelby will now play Rocky River Lutheran West for the Division II Regional Championship on Saturday ( 4 pm) at Bowling Green State University.  

Aaron Hines and Erik Will are on the call from Bowling Green State University, as the Shelby Whippets beat Lima Shawnee, 59-50, in the Division II Regional Semi-Finals. The game aired "LIVE" on MY 100.1 FM on March 14th, 2024.

El Meeks, Mansfield Senior girls basketball coach, spent time on WMAN this week to talk about their great season. The Lady TYgers are 18-2, the #1 seed in the district and have a chance to win a league championship in their final game of the regular season (Feb 15th). Meeks shares about Kiersten Bradley scoring career point #1,000 this week to join an exclusive club in Senior High history.

Crestview boys basketball coach, John Kurtz, talked with WMAN about his 400th career win, which came on Tuesday. Kurtz, also shares about the special group of players he has this season, which are off to the best start in school history (16-0).

Richland County has released a Branding Video, for Brand Richland - titled "A Family of Communities." Richland County Commissioner, Tony Vero, who said, it's 1 of 3 video's set to be released, with a more comprehensive branding video set to be unveiled in the 1st quarter of 2024. Voters in Mansfield will see a ¼% income tax on the Nov 7th ballot for the Water Main Initiative. The initiative is for Fire Safety, as right now, there are hundreds of addresses in Mansfield, which are not within a reasonable distance of a properly working fire hydrant.
