Third Street Family Health Services are set to receive $350,000 in state funds via Ohio’s Capital Budget. The money will go toward the renovation work at their Shelby Health and Wellness Center, which is located downtown on Main Street. Third Street President and CEO – Peggy Anderson, said, renovations should be complete in August and they expect to re-open the facility sometime in September.

Jeff Angelini,who helps organize of Miss Ohio Week, dropped by the WMAN studio to talk about the parade this year ( Sunday, June 9th at 2 pm) and about all of the Miss Ohio week events in Mansfield.  There will be 27 contestants this year, which is the most since prior to the pandemic.

The Hillsdale Falcons (19-11) baseball team is playing on Saturday, June 8th ( 4 pm) in the Division IV State Semi-Finals vs Fort Recovery (15-12) in Akron. Jason Snow, Hillsdale coach, joined WMAN's Aaron Hines to talk about their season and run to the state tournament.  The Falcons finished state runner-up, under Snow, in 2019.

Mansfield City Council is scheduled to vote tonight, Tuesday June 4th ( 7 pm) on a moratorium on Cannabis dispensaries. Jodie Perry, Mansfield mayor, recently spoke about that topic and much more happening in town - during her monthly visit - with WMAN's Aaron Hines on "Local Talk".
