Listening WELL to the KING

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be satisfied. God approves of those who conform to the mind, desires and will of God. If you do, you will be fattened... satisfied.  What a promise.  Pastor Blake Peterson gave this message at CrossPoint Church.

God loves us and wants us to live abundantly. So why do we struggle so much with our loyalty to God.  Probably because we listen to the enemies lies rather than listening to God.  His Word convicts, strengthens, guides and heals.  Time with God in His Word needs to be a priority in our lives.

Paul thanks the Philippians for their gift and teaches them that our Sovereign God takes care of all our needs.  Paul teaches what God is teaching him. As Paul walked with God... he learned to trust God and that God supplies the strength to be content in any circumstance or situation.  

Paul loves the Philippian believers, but knows they struggle.  He addresses worry and what we put in our minds... what we think about.  Paul desires the church to live abundantly, to experience all the joy there is in following Jesus so he encourages the flock to pray and trust God while choosing to make healthy choices when deciding what to put in our minds.

Paul recognizes that the Philippian church is struggling.  He addresses some of their struggles... their lack of intimacy with Jesus and joy, conflicts and displaying gentleness.  Paul is convinced they don't need to struggle, but that they can thrive.  Pastor Rick spoke this message to CrossPoint Church on 220807
